"After missing my connecting flight home (late in the evening) I needed a place to stay. The hotel was close to ORD, new/new-like, very clean and very comfortable. The girl at check in was super nice and accommodating and when the Bartender Ian, heard I had not had a meal, he heated up his own dinner, insisted I eat it and kept the lights on for me to do so. 100% The nicest collective group of people I've ever met int the service industry. I would most certainly stay here again. Thanks again Ian."

"Positives: Front desk staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was an easy process. Location is just down the road from the airport, which means a quick and hassle-free shuttle (offered by the hotel) to get to and from your flight. Beds were comfortable and my room looked and felt clean, the norm for Hyatt Place hotels. . Negatives: Because there is a runway across the street, airplanes fly (very low) directly over the hotel at all hours. The nearly constant loud roar of the jets overhead was jarring and nerve racking, along with the fact that a major interstate is in between the hotel and airport. This isn't necessarily a reflection of the hotel... as they don't hide this fact, but it is something to consider if traveling with children or if noises make it hard for you to sleep. I also noticed people with dogs at this hotel... I'm not sure Fido would appreciate the jet sounds (would probably make a dog quite anxious). Also, I feel the "restaurant" - which really just serves appetizers and limited bar food - is way overpriced. I ordered wings and 2 bottled beers and the total was $60. Especially shocking was the beer was nearly $13 each - yet retail for around $1.42 per bottle. The nearby airport doesn't even charge that high of a price for the same beer! I ordered the exact same thing (wings with the same beer) just a week earlier at their San Francisco location and my bill was almost half, yet California is known for much higher prices. I think this needs to be looked at and corrected by management. Lastly, breakfast was a bit underwhelming... the "kitchen" was spacious, yet much of it was empty/unused as they had limited food choices compared to other Hyatt's. There were no biscuits & gravy, the pre-made omelettes w/cheese tasted low quality, and the sausage was a bit dry as I believe it sat out too long. . While I enjoy the Hyatt brand overall, considering all the nearby competition in this large Chicago metropolitan area, the negatives listed in my review would make me consider another nearby hotel."

"Safe area very close to airport. The shuttle runs every 40 minutes, don't be late. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms and fairly quiet space for being near the busy airport and highways. Breakfast is easy to navigate and full of options. The bar area was closed during my visit, but looks like a good setup for dinner and beverages."

"After a long day, long flight, and no sleep, I finally arrive at the hotel. Did the early check in on my phone before arriving. Was good to go. Figured all I had to do was grab the key, get a shower, and take a quick nap to my days in Chicago started right. Except that didn't happen. I am currently sitting in the lobby until 2 PM due to a 50 dollar check in fee. My room is ready to go, but front desk feels it's better that they hold it hostage. This place sucks."

"As someone who has worked in the service industry I am understanding of staffing issues or anything like that. However I recently had my worse experience ever. Not only did the shuttle not come to the airport where I waited an hour and a half, when I asked for a simple bottle of water at the front desk, after paying for a cab the front desk said no. I called numerous times while waiting at the airport as well and no one answered. I would recommend avoiding this hotel as there are plenty of other hotels that can properly run a shuttle service in the area."
