"I recently graduated from stc on December 9th, 2023. I didn't know what degree i should study. Until the pandemic started, then I got a goal. I switched majors. I have bad AD, and I can not focus in class. In person classes started to become more difficult. Online classes are easier for me because they are at my pace. I work 10 hours a day and have school after work. Sometimes, I hop on early to do studies early in the morning. My professors are amazing and upfront. Make sure you pay attention to the syllabus course and highlight due dates. Print out the campus dates and syllabus due dates. Always evaluate to help them understand what they need to improve their job. I used to have financial aid, but I decided to pay it out of pocket because of family issues. I heard some students had trouble getting financial aid. It was easier for me. It is a tedious process. Some staff will help you but remember they're people too, not robots. I'm going to miss the gaming club. I graduated with no debt with an Associates degree. This was an overall good experience for finding what you can achieve in a good education is affordable. Finally, I can sleep."

"5-16-23 I want to take a course at STC in McAllen. I called the operator for more info on the course of interest, and I'm told to go online to ask the question on Chat because they don't have that info. I then request to speak to an adviser, and I'm given a number to call because they can't transfer the call. I called the number that was relayed, and the person that answers can not provide specifics on the course and can't forward the call to an advisor because the advisors are off this week. I'm asked to go to the STC Chat. I access the online Chat, I write my questions and get a reply promptly. However, I did not get a reply to my last question because I accidentally pressed a wrong key that exited the Chat. Ire-enteredr the Chat but have to ask the question a second time. I did not get a reply, so I exited the site to try again later. I tried a 3rd and 4th time to get an answer to my question to no avail. I will eventually go in person to get an answer. I hope most students have it easier than this."

"This educational institution is probably the biggest scam of the year. Their financial aid department is filled with inexperienced students with no real work experience who will hinder you. Years ago, when I first applied for financial aid and now that they kept me out years later. They don't care about your financial situation and being 19 years old, I talked to the Director of Financial Aid himself who lied to me that he would help and that next day he stood behind his incompetent student workers and defended their honor instead. Ego over reason in this place. Avoid it at the cost of your most ambitious endeavors. How are they receiving funding? Only The Department of "Education" knows."

"Affordable , great professors, great opportunities for certification courses and this place keeps expanding. Honestly a few years ago, I would have given stc a bad review but as I continued my education here, I learned how to love this college. Working on my 2nd degree here and looking to continue my 3rd degree plan before I venture off into the university across town. This college is a great start to understand what the environment in a university is like . Use the rate my professor Website to find out which professors are great to learn from. Trust me there are some great leaders on this campus, leaders the Rio grande valley needs."

"I actually attend the other campus, but have had to stop by here for books or to see the proff. So far it seems like a very organized campus. I've come at different times of the day and there's always parking (sometimes further away, but I carry an umbrella for the sun) Once there were mariachi playing outside. The employees are always very helpful & professional and most of the students appear to be engaged in their environment. The bathrooms have always been clean when I've gone. I've taken 3 courses so far and the classes have been very engaging. This is a career change for me so I'm older, but I don't feel out of place."
