Education Credit Union - I-40

"horrible credit union. i had insurance, they told me i didnt and added a policy, my car payment loan was double. i went in multiple times to get fixed, it took 3 months. they did the same to my wife, it took my wife 6 months to get them to take off the policy. do not bank here."

"Stay away from Education Credit Union at all costs. I have been with them for way to long but i will be closing my account. I have had a quick cash and a credit card with this bank for a very long time and have made a payment literally every month. Well this last month i was going to make a payment on the 30th knowing it was due on the 25th so a few days late at worst. I find out they had already withdrew the payment and had marked the account as delinquent. This was just 5 days late! I called and they said it had made my September payment to early LOL so that counted towards the August payment ! This place is a criminal institution and needs to be shut down. So yeah i got penalized for making a payment to early . Stay far away from this bank. They don't care about their customers or they would have just apologized for the error when i called and got it corrected but no, when i told them this is ridiculous and i would be closing my account they transferred me to have it closed.... Have it your way then. Actually i may be submitting a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and recommend the other similar reviews to do the same."

"I have banked with them for years they helped me with 2 car loans this last week I'm ready to call their CEO and file law suits against them they locked my account stole thousands of dollars from me preventing me from fulfilling my obligations spent over an hour on the phone arguing with them to put the money back into my account. I have never in my life had so many issues with a bank ever. I can understand phone calls or emails but stealing my hard earned money preventing me from paying my bills is beyond ridiculous. Do not use this bank they will rob you and threaten you at every turn with no remorse or understanding that times are hard and getting harder absolutely the worst experience ever."

"Do not use this bank. I borrowed 10,000 on my car and was late on some payments. After 4 years of payments my balance was 8,999. Yep 1,000 is all that was applied to my loan. Had to give them the car and give up. Now say I owe 3000. After it was sold for 6000."

"Refused to actually help, and wouldn't listen to what we had to say. Flat out rude and undeniably racist. Refused to look through our forms and then called us lairs when we would try to explain something. Not sure about the rest of the staff but Erica is not who you want to go to for help. And the manager is just as guilty for not stepping up and and letting Erica continue to treat us like trash. Not our first time using this bank but definitely the last."
