"Kenneth Dishongh entered into a settlement agreement with me on behalf of his client. This settlement agreement stemmed from a small claims petition that my small business filed against his client. The day before we were scheduled for court Mr. Dishongh called and mentioned that his client was willing to settle the lawsuit. We agreed to the terms and he stated he would have a check waiting for me the following day. I took the day off and drove the 1 hr to Humble, Texas to meet with Mr. Dishongh and pickup the check. However, when I walked into his office he mentioned that his client did not provide him with the funds and had backed out of the agreement. While he was apologetic, it still does not excuse the fact that: 1) he had not secured the funds; 2) could not honor the agreement on his client's behalf. Instead, I was out more money for gas and time loss at work. We ultimately prevailed in our lawsuit against his client, but feel that we need to share our experience with Mr. Dishongh.
