"Our experience with this law firm has been awful. Our original petitions weren’t filed correctly and they didn’t even realize until 40 days later when I brought it to their attention. I should not be notifying an attorney of something like this. Because of this, none of our due diligence was ever ordered or started until we were already eligible for default judgement. Regularly took 5+ days to get any kind of response, and often the replies didn’t really address the questions. I was told different things regarding court dates that weren’t true (ex: first I was told Ft Bend county does adoptions 2 Fridays a month. The next time I was told it’s 1 Friday a month. The court confirmed that’s not true). We ultimately ended up discharging the firm and hiring a new attorney. Our experience with that firm has been completely different. Unfortunately we have been trying to get our final billing invoice and return of the remainder of our retainer for over 30 days. I have followed up twice with no reply. We will be filing a grievance with the state bar. DO NOT RECOMMEND."
