"I don't know quite how to express my pleasure in my visits to this place. The staff are friendly & approachable, but they are also all committed & aware problem-solvers for your challenges (beware the rock squirrels!). They have a selection that is sufficiently varied to cover any of our regional needs without being intimidating or otherwise overwhelming, and they've had a solution to almost any query I've presented, whether related to season, drought or species. Sure, you might be able to do it cheaper but — and I say this as a career scientist who'd like to think he's pretty good at this — I'm pretty sure you won't do it better. "What a fantastic store all around backyard bird feeding! This store has everything. I'm not exactly new to this as I already had a squirrel buster feeder and bird bath, but I learned so much here to prepare me for hanging my bird house, and I replaced my bird seed with theirs. The birds love it! It actually smelled good when I opened the bag! The bird seed from the grocery store doesn't ever smell like anything. They have this advanced pole system I bought, that will let me have a bird house at the right height and add a squirrel baffle to the pole later if I find it's needed. I can also add feeders to it as well, which is nice. Janet helped me pick the right place in my yard for it, stopping me from hanging it too close to my porch where I would make it unsafe for them, and she was very knowledgeable about birds. She also showed me tips and tricks that I wouldn't have learned online as quickly. I think a couple of chickadees have started nesting in the birdhouse. I don't want to disturb them too much, but opened it slightly and saw some first twigs arranged on the bottom! The store also has some feeders right in front of the entrance that the birds *love* flocking to it right after a person isn't around. That's quite a good sign, I think, that they know what they're doing here."
