"Honestly I don't know where to even start with this review ICU was pretty awesome and pretty great and on top of it but really no one had taken the time to talk with me and send messages supposedly to the neurologist who was on my husband's case for a stroke.. We were in there Monday January 22nd in the evening supposedly message was sent to her all week but she didn't come until Thursday evening that was the first message she got. Never did you really see the same nurse or nurse's assistant they're on 12 16 hours shifts so yeah you had to go through a new person reviewing the case not knowing what's going on doing testing and not looking at the other notes from the prior ones and making you feel inadequate. The social worker on the neurology floor was horrible her communication skills lacked in every aspect not definitive and clear in what she was really truly doing until I called her out on it. The doctor was the same way, talked really fast, and She told me she was doing me a favor by doing one of the test keeping my husband as an inpatient opposed to outpatient. That she could of released him and fine exactly that. Two therapists recomended one aspect of treatment for when he was discharged, but yet since one aspect of pt didn't, guess what he wasn't approved for I promise you this really happened. And FYI they over ride the neurologist's findings as well. Never could get a box of Kleenex, for his room, usually you get a little tiny pail with some personal effects for washing up especially if you are confined to the bed ,soap toothbrush etc yeah none of that was given to him at all ,I brought all from home. And we asked more than once. This was beyond the point of ridiculous even with inexpensive hotels they supply those to you and the cost of this room is prob three times more than the expensive hotels. The nurses were very good I have to say that but here again they changed quite often. Never really received a true explanation of how his stroke( no wait seizure oh wait tia, no stroke) came about and how to care for him because his sugar levels were still high quite, unregulated blood pressure which he never ever before had as well as cholesterol medication he was put on cholesterol medicine. being released from the hospital was the best and the most positive result of this whole entire experience. We received no answers except from the neurologist who apparently doesn't have any clout because the MD of the floor administration can override her. Communication isn't the best between the social worker and the MD. We will see our primary care tomorrow with who is affiliated with a different hospital altogether. I am thoroughly disgusted very dissatisfied and so sad to see St John's Mercy go downhills so bad. The waiting room floor Had not been vacuumed in over 4 days It was disgusting. And you wonder how you can get staph infections between the room the bathroom and the waiting room not being clean take it from there a very very very disappointed individual individual."

"The staff last night in the ER were awesome! One in particular was my wife's nurse Shelby. She was kind and compassionate and made a bad situation much easier. She attended to my wife with the utmost professionalism and personal touch."

"I've been a patient at this hospital on more than one occasion. Drs, nurses and staff are all excellent. It is one of the cleanest hospitals I've ever been to. My appendectomy was performed there with no issues, and very little scarring. My last trip I started out in the ER and was transferred to ICU, days later to a regular room. All staff were very professional. Sometimes they do get very busy but ER wait times are much less than any other hospital"
