"Beautiful view of Missouri river. Nice walk along the trail. No one else was on the trail today"

"So much potential here. Tons of history and there was at one time some really cool facilities. The infrastructure near the Grand Staircase, which is incredible is in the process of falling apart. Trails are not well marked. I was using GAIA GPS to navigate so was fine. In fairness, I did not utilize one of their park maps. Many of the benches along trail were hard to even see due to the overgrowth of invasive species like honeysuckle. There are Johnny on the Spots by the trailhead. One last thing...when you check in at the front gate, the young lady would not speak to us. This place has so many possibilities...given it's history surprised it's not administered as a National Historical Site. It is worth a visit."

"Old Military Fort loaded with History, take a nice hike along the old fort, clean trails. Must go through a checkpoint before entering the property. Plenty of parking"

"Don’t swim in the creek- it’s the infamous cold water creek associated with all sorts of dumping and nuclear waste. Besides that, views are beautiful. So natural and lush. Beautiful restored prairie at beginning of trail."

"Great trail! Historic ruins, access to Coldwater creek which is beautiful to watch (has crawdads and fish that we saw). Not too much elevation gain till the very end. Great views of the river. Friendly fellow hikers. Dog friendly. A few spots with loose gravel."
