"My favorite spot to go vibe/hike/fish/take the kids to the playground/swim at Lake Lincoln (water quality permitting). Beautiful views at Frenchman's Bluff. So many things to do/explore! Must stop if you're visiting Troy or anywhere remotely close."

"Back again, met some nice full-time people, and weekend warriors. The more we camp the more we learn. For example we have learned about camp hosts, we have been to several state campgrounds all hosts so far have been helpful and friendly except here. 3 camp hosts one of the 3 has been great, introduced themselves friendly and helpful as for the other 2 not so much. They drive around on their goft carts not as much as a stop to introduce themselves or anything. I think part of the camping experience is the people you meet ,and the front line is the camp hosts. we had full hookups, sites are gravel, bathroom near by. Multiple restrooms, open field with a great view of the moon rising as seen by some of the photos. There is trails to hike bluffs to see, fish to catch,& water to play in, dear, raccoon, possum to see. Lots of dear and rabbits. Day use pavilions. If we come back here hopefully those 2 host will be gone or learn to be friendly. It's not just about a free campsite but a representative for the state. (The friendly host had left unfortunately)"

"I came here for mountain biking. Being new to the area, I am looking for nice trails. These trails are over grown with fallen trees in a few places. The signage is terrible. I ended up on a hiking only trail. Thankfully, it lead to a road and I was able to bail out. Even if I was hiking, I wouldn't enjoy the grass that was 6-8 inches deep. I did see a couple of beaches that were nice. The lake is very pretty."

"I’ve been to many state parks in Missouri and this is by far my favorite! There’s swimming, camping, boating, equestrian trails, hiking trails, creeks and so much more to explore. So beautiful in the spring, summer and fall."

"Wow. Just wow. The grounds are clean, sites are spacious, the bathhouse is cleaned regularly, staff is friendly, playground is perfect, views are amazing, and prices for sites are more than reasonable. We will absolutely be frequent guests."
