"Having not visited this beautiful place in over 10 years, I had to stop by for a visit while I was in town with my wife. Such an amazing place for a viewpoint, only wish we would have been there for sunset. It is gated now, closing at sundown. When I was younger, it was always open & there was no gate. It still had the majestic feeling it gave me when I was younger. This used to be a good hangout spot & still a great place to take in some nature, always seeing deer or turkey in the area. The bluff resides on the edge of quiver river state park & that whole area is a nice place to spend the day, or camp if you would like. Keep the place natural, if you take it into the park or the bluff, take it out with you. Trash doesn’t belong on the ground. Don’t take away from the natural beauty that nature has for us."

"Hiked three miles along these bluffs. Good views from the top! Not heavily trafficked (maybe because I visited on a Monday morning) so there were a lot of spider webs to walk through--nothing holding a stick out in front of you can't fix!"

"We had a great hike through the bluffs on a loop trail through the Cuivre River State Park. The views are pretty impressive and the trails are well marked and pretty easy to get around. Well worth a visit especially with it’s close proximity to St. Louis. There are a couple different ways to access the lower loop trails so a visit to the ranger center is well worth the quick stop before hitting the trailhead."
