"I loved working with the kids and some staff members but I could not longer work for a principal whose ethics I questioned. Additionally, I felt replaceable and disrespected. Multiple people have either been fired without a reason or quit. Teachers are stressed with no planning period and are constantly asked to do more and scolded whenever there's any parent complaint instead of open communication. Some classes are over capacity and run by paraprofessionals, not certified teachers. There is no special education coordinator at this time as she quit too. There's no clear procedures or protocols, including discipline so there's lots of classroom management issues."

"We love this school! Our 1st and 3rd graders are eager to go to school & enjoy learning. Very friendly teachers, staff, and the admin. Look forward to more years as being Doral family."

"Please read this review! I have a 1st and 2nd grader at Doral, we have been there since day one. We expected growing pains since the school is brand new to not just the area but to Texas. The superintendent literally came from Florida to establish this school. I have to say - everyone has done a FANTASTIC job of doing their best to provide a wonderful education experience for students and their families. This is the first year that my kids are eager to come home and tell us all about their day, and they’re so excited about it. When we have encountered problems the staff is very easy to work with to resolve any issue. They communicate well with us and I appreciate Principal DeSousa’s open door policy, she has been very transparent. The parents have been getting super involved which is great! I think this school will continue to succeed and I am happy to be a part of the community!"

"We are loving Doral so far!! Are there some growing pains? Yes. Are there some kinks that needed to be worked out? Yes. It is a brand new school after all!! Every issue we have had (and none have been related to the actual teachers and/or curriculum, mostly things like getting the school lunch app to work or setting up aftercare, etc) has been addressed quickly! This is our first “real” school experience (Kindergarten) and so far she absolutely LOVES going and learning something every day. She loves Mrs Mayen!!!"

"This school is advertised to “allow students learn in an innovative environment fostered by the use of advanced methods and technology” but that is far from the truth, at least for the pre-K program. Teachers seem to lack basic classroom management, along with patience and understanding for different age groups. Administration is entirely unhelpful when parents bring major issues to their attention and provides no solutions. This school is very unorganized and unprofessional. The staff have unattainably high expectations for young children that leave them feeling discouraged and overwhelmed. This school was overall a major disappointment, and I can only hope that they learn from their mistakes to create a successful environment for our young ones."
