"So I'm in 8th grade and I personally love the school. Yeah, there are some not so great people but the majority are really great. Last year it was TERRIBLE but everyone that was bad honestly either went to high school or were re-located to Barton. There IS drama, but it doesn't usually spread or last very long. The counselors actually care, so you can go to them if you end up getting picked on or just need to talk. The teachers are very nice, and the students are too. If you're thinking of your student coming here, let them. They'll make a lot of friends."

"In general, the school is great. It has nice teachers, fun events, cool sports, and SOME good people. Personally however, I think the school is terrible. Although there are some good teachers and kids, the majority are not. The kids are almost always getting in trouble, they aren't exactly nice, and most are HUGE bully's. Even though the school THINKS they do enough to "prevent" this, the ONE assembly that they do a year does not help. The kids WILL NOT listen to it, and no matter how many they do the kids will just laugh it off and keep doing what there doing. The staff I feel have little to NO respect for the students. I personally have experienced this and have been wrongly accused of something. There was proof that what I did was right and di not deserve any punishment and the other person involved was in the wrong. we were both in ISS(In School Suspension) for a while, then they sent me to Impact and she stayed in ISS until a week later, ONLY AFTER we had to complain to them about why they were wrong in this decision. Once we proved them wrong and caught them in their lie(which is something we were lucky to do, most of the tie that doesn't happen) I came back to school. Ever since I have been singled out by them and they try to get me in trouble because they screwed up and my family caught them. For example a few weeks ago I nearly got an ASD(After School Detention) because I was STANDING in the lunchroom when the assistant principal had to walk right past these TWO REALLY TALL GUYS FIGHTING to get to me and didn't pay any attention to them AT ALL. When I asked what I was in trouble for, I was told I was going to be shown a video of me standing everyday in the lunchroom. I now constantly get these accusing glares and smug looks of"I can do whatever I want to you and there is nothing you can do about it." I do not trust most of the staff at Dahlstrom and I don't think that I ever will. That was my experience and could easily happen to you. My warning is be careful and watch your back. But this will not happen to everyone and I hope it doesn't happen to you and that you have a great time there."
