"Have no problems with the teachers. However the administration in particular doesn't respond to parent complaints (At all!) So if you want to have your child at a school with a principal that will actually listen to your concerns and respond look elsewhere . Also please keep in mind that if you plan on picking your child up via carpool because of district rules the school has so many students that are car riders either you have to pay 650/yr for your child to ride the bus (a money grab for the district)...even if you live close and can pickup your child otherwise the Pearland Police Department will issue you a TICKET just for waiting in carpool to pick up your child because there isn't enough space to wait on Old Alvin Rd so it backs up routine traffic. Even though street backup happens at every other school in this area! Is it parents fault the district chose to build there with such limited access? I think not! My advice? Consider another middle school, be prepared to pay and also be prepared to not have the principal respond when you email (as my assumption is he is too busy to respond to parents...I can only assume because still waiting for a response 3 weeks later). Pearland ISD has a LONG history of not responding to parent concerns. A simple internet search will show you that. I wish it was not so but after years in this district and after having to file multiple level 1 complaints AND after they sent my child home wrong not once but twice I can definitely say as a parent this district does have some issues. Please keep this in mind when moving to this area."
