"I think they're doing a great job in making the park and nature center ready for next season. Upstairs in the nature center there are interesting exhibits and several critters who are waiting for you to visit. The trails are nice and the cave itself is closed until April but the bridge and the view into the front of the cave is accessible and nice. Thank goodness for the workers who apparently care and appreciate this historical Iowa landmark."

"Nice small set of trails with 2 accessible caves, and an additional closed off cave with Jesse James history. One is only accessible if you get your feet wet to cross the Flint Creek, as the bridge will not take you there."

"Neat little park. The trails are short and won't take you long to walk if you're interested in seeing the caves. The namesake of the park is closed due to a fungal infection. Like most park caves, I suspect it will never be open to the public again, but it is still worth walking across the bridge to look in at it and learn a little about white nose fungus. Further up the trail is another cave, about the size of a small car that's very cool to find. Blink and you'll miss it though, as it's off to the side of and below the actual trail. Below the bridge and trails is a small creek where you can find all kinds of ocean fossils. I always enjoy this natural scavenger hunt. Lots to see."

"This is a great place to visit. Inside they have a floor of cool children's play & learning activities. They host many outdoor adventures. There are lots of trails the main trail is wheelchair accessible all the way to the cave. Kids & adults have fun creek stomping & playing in the water."

"We really enjoyed this park, it was perfect for a quick afternoon with the kids. The kids love shallow creeks you can wade through and there’s a big bridge that crosses Flint creek over to Starr cave. The cave is closed but has some informative plaques outside and you can feel the cool cave air bellowing out. Also a cool photo op if you can get the kids to stand in front of it. There were some families straight up swimming in the creek so it must be deeper in some areas. Wish we would have had time to explore more."
