"The place is really cool and has a cool atmosphere but I got a fade and it honestly wasn't very good. It wasn't a straight line and was pretty Zig zag. I most likely will have it fixed by another barber. Other than that it wasn't too bad but definitely could use some improvement"

"Angie is the best and I recommend her to all my friends! She is a rockstar for men’s cuts and I have seen her work on my friends and boyfriend (long-term customer). But what really sets her apart is her ability to do women’s cuts and color, particularly on curly hair. I am African American with curly, 3C hair. Angie is an expert with cut and color, allowing me to express myself with bold, exciting colors. She also has experience with classic balayage."

"I had a cut yesterday with Angie R. at the Evanston location and it is the worst haircut I have ever received. I told her I wanted a 6 tapered down to a 4 under my ears, keep above my ears long and then a smooth blend with scissors, no shelf. I asked her specifically not to change my hairline. Her very first cut took the clippers all the way up the side of my head, so it was already too late. She started edging my hairline without asking me while I wasn't looking in the mirror, and I had to stop her, now my hairline on my face is uneven and choppy. I specifically told her to only clean the strays on my neck and to not change my hairline and she rounded my hairline on my neck anyway, the back of my head now looks like a sausage. She didn't ask me how I wanted to style my hair at all. There was no blending, she took the 6 guard all the way up the side of my head. There is an uneven wedge of hair left on top that is still longer but doesn't blend into anything else. My hair is so short now on the sides that you can see my scalp. I am now stuck wearing a hat for three months while I wait for what she cut to grow back. I am extremely upset about this haircut. It felt like she wasn't paying attention to anything I said and just gave me the cut she wanted to give, and it wasn't even executed well. I kept telling her this wasn't what I asked for, and at the end she said "now that we had a different conversation I would have done the haircut differently." I called to complain and got a refund, I'm unlikely to go back."

"Angel was phenomenal. She listened to what I wanted and walked me through what she was doing while paying close attention to detail and the overall finished look. I haven’t had a haircut in a long time and she made me feel comfortable with the decisions I was making. All while being upbeat and engaging during the cut. I’m so very happy with the results and just running my hands through my hair makes me smile. Thank you Angel for providing your time and skill to make me feel so comfortable and happy with the experience and cut. We will most definitely be back."

At the first appointment, I requested a mid-length hair style and Sandra delivered with a cut that worked with my hair, was easy to maintain and suggested products that would be helpful to my hair. My second appointment, 6-weeks later, was more maintenance. Still, Sandra delivered with one of the best cuts I’ve received ever, any where. Couldn’t be more pleased…helpful, friendly, professional, listens, excellent cutter."
