"As of December 2023, it's $24 for a men's cut if you're a student. This place has been around since 1916 and has been passed between family members. It's the best men's cut in Evanston. So affordable, too. I've been to Floyd's as well. The cut here is just as good as Floyd's for $11 cheaper. The three people that work there have been there for decades. They know hair and customer service."

"I went on a Saturday afternoon, which I thought would be extremely packed. But luckily, there weren't that many people in the barber shop. I appreciate that the barber shop was on time with my reservation, I reserved a haircut for 12:50, and the person before me finished his haircut around 12:45. They are organized and it shows that they understand how much a haircut would take. Great experience overall and I will definitely be returning for another cut."

"I had a great experience here. Getting an appointment was no hassle at all. My barber (I think her name was Tracy) was extremely courteous and listened to what i wanted done to my hair and let me show her a picture. She took great care to explain things to me and give me options throughout the haircut. And she and I had a really nice conversation during the haircut. They are cash only and the $21 haircut is more expensive than what I am used to paying where I am from, but the price is extremely good for the local market. Plus, the quality of haircut was amazing for me. I'd gladly pay this price for this haircut over paying $10-12 for some dice roll chop job at a national chain. Lastly, the atmosphere here is great. It took me back to my old barbershop when I was a kid. I can't recommend this place emphatically enough. I just hope I can get appointments in the future."
