"Went for a birthday party. Place was pretty bare bones..."
"Could use a little more oversight during open gym hours. We can’t be letting overzealous parents walk in and end full court games. This ruins what the 10+ people waiting and playing have paid for, just so one or two kids can shoot (especially when there are five other hoops to shoot on including upstairs). If you’re going to split the open gym hours up by age, great! Just make sure someone from the park district is walking through when the ages shift from one age group to another, to remove those under/over age."
"I go for the fitness center. Has 2 sizable rooms; one with weights, weight machines, treadmills, bikes, and elliptical. The other has mats, medicine balls, light weights, stepping boards, and a rowing machine. Kept incredibly clean. There's a walking track above the gym with 14 laps to the mile. Costs $160/year as of May 2023 - way less than bigger gyms. They have classes, basketball courts, volleyball set up, clean locker rooms with showers."
"this place is the realness! been coming here for about a year now for the fitness center and it's been amazing. $160/yr for a membership to use the weights/equipment which was much less than some of the other gyms nearby. people here are generally friendly too, there's a strong emphasis on the "community" aspect of "community center." very clean, not too terribly busy, and the selection of equipment is perfect for me, though experienced lifters might feel there's a bit lacking. definitely worth checking out!"
"I have not belonged to a health club in decades. Being retired we decided to join one. The facility is very clean and the staff is very helpful. We walk the indoor track and then use the machines. When we had a question about a piece of equipment, the staff came over and told us how to properly use it. Everyone is very friendly, the staff and the other members. The cost is very reasonable. I find myself looking forward to going."
