"I've been involved in the music and entertainment industry for a number of years; promotions, marketing, talent development, production, … and have had the opportunity to see a number of studios on both coasts. In working with the folks at Modern Sound Studio I must say emphatically that they are committed to providing a professional product and service in an engaging and fun environment comparable to many of the large studios on the west and east coasts. The facility is equipped to accommodate beginner-level kids who are just now picking up a guitar and learning how to play it ... to teens polishing up their vocals for an upcoming performance ... to seasoned music veterans laying the final tracks with finishing beats and lyrics for a CD that's about to drop. It is a full-service facility complete with a performance stage and a comfortably sized audience-seating area that can be arranged into a theater-styled setting; there's also a dance venue as well as rehearsal and recording booths and studios. The management and instructors treat each student with the same dignity and respect that they would expect. The teachers are encouraged to provide custom lesson plans for each student - regardless of age, experience levels or styles. Together, with the students, they establish their goals by connecting with the students and understanding their musical and performance interests and project what it will take to achieve those goals. They work together as a teacher-student team. They want the students to have fun while they work to hone their skills and talent; however, they also want to insure the students have a strong foundation of music theory. From what I can tell, the teaching staff all have strong backgrounds and degrees in music.
