"This program has been horrible for my son. The teacher cancels class all the time literally. None of the kids in the class understand what she’s teaching and she’s so rude nobody likes asking for help. He’s also supposed to have 504. If you actually want your child learning this is not the program for you. The teacher acts like she’s just here for a paycheck and rushes through stuff. I’m very disappointed in the entire program and will not recommend it to anyone. We’re thinking about pulling my son and not even finishing off the year! There has even been other parents going off on the teacher in the middle of class because the way she is to the kids and her attitude."

"The special education department is trash. I encourage anyone with a child who has an IEP to look elsewhere. The communication is nonexistent with these people. Other than my child's actual teacher who is good with communicating, I can’t get decent communication or any type of response from anyone. I have been asking for information on state testing for months and still haven’t received any relevant information. The entire year has been a struggle and a nightmare."

"Enrolled my son mid-year. All of his teachers have been responsive by email, and I have gotten multiple check-ins from K12 to make sure everything is running smoothly. Don't enroll and expect that a k-5th will be doing everything on their own. As the learning coach, you absolutely need to be present and interactive with your child's learning experience."

"I enrolled my daughter at lone star online academy at roscoe a month and a half ago. Shes 9 in the 4th grade. She has been a straight A student since she started school. well in the last 6 weeks she went from a Honor roll student to now having 3 F's. Not just an F's but her math grade was a 9, her S.S. was a 32, and her reading was at a 50. Almost all her math quiz grades are below a 20 and a sone are 0's. she missed every question. i thought her teacher was going to teach her. So i contacted the teacherand she said that it was up to me to teach her. we just moved to Texas in August and planned to move around a bit an visit family until we found our place we like. So thats why i chose to enroll her in this school bc i work from my compuer and it would give us the freedom to travel ad not have to keep changing her schools. in october at her last school right before i transferred her, her grades were 93 and above in every subject! So finally i took the last few days off from work because i wasnt feeling well and wanted to go though every assignment an quiz shes done. I did. So i got upset with my daughter bc she was getting every singke math problem wrong almost. She told me she doesnt know how to do any of it. So automatically think shes not askingbl questions or not asking her teacher for help. And age said the teacher wasnt teaching this to her. so i went and watched every math class that was recorded. i went day for day to what he taught in class that day to what my daughters lesson was for that day. My daughter was telling the truth. She had no idea how to do 80 % percent of it bc the teacher never taught it in not one video I watched. The teacher would bot answer y questions. She was teaching addition word problem solving but her home work was dividing area models. It was that way everyday. Not one video since my daughter started has that teacher said one thing about how to divide area models. When i emailed the teacher she said it was uo to me to help with youtube videos are find my own source. Ive called k12 and they said call the school. the school only has a message line. Ive left message after message and not 1 reply. This was one of the worst mistakes i ever made. I feel horrible bc i thought it was my daughter and she got in trouble. but the teacher cuts the kids off doesn't let them ask questions verbally. Tells kids to never talk just type and ignores children who verbally ask for help and will answer 1 or 2 questions from a couole kids then cuts everybodybwith questions off and ends the class . there is a raise your hand button to ask a question. That button might as well not be there. I watched myvdaughter leave her hand raised the while class and never even acknowledged! This could ruin my daughters love that she had for learning and school. My brother is Shane Stocks a superintendent for a school system in missouri, and my sister is 3rd grade teacher also. So i know quite a bit about the education system and how it works. And im pretty sure this is jus a school that someone or multiple people are using for a profit somehow. Who do i call in Texas to report what is going on?"

"If your child has a iep or anything like this good luck. I have been calling for a month, emails etc NO ONE responds, no one cares.. all they care is that he is in the class not that he needs special help. So if he fails he fails. Only person who responded to me was an art teacher which clearly can't help me. I'm so over this and my kids have only been here a month."
