About the Business
Arts Unlimited Southwest is a non-profit community arts organization located at 111 South Robinson Street in Cleburne, Texas. Our institution serves as a school and store where students of all ages, abilities, and skill levels can develop proficiency in various instruments in a fun, supportive, and safe environment. Our classes include Music Together for preschoolers and their caregivers, as well as instruction in voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, flute, and strings.
At Arts Unlimited Southwest, we aim to build community through music-making and the arts, allowing students to discover new skills, share their talents, and carve out their own creative spaces. This mission is especially important in today's world where isolation is prevalent. With the help of experienced teachers and scholarships, we strive to provide all children, including those from under-served populations, with the opportunity to gain insights, knowledge, and skills that they can apply to other areas of learning.
Our program offers a valuable alternative to children spending their time watching television or engaging in unsupervised activities, especially during the holidays. By participating in our classes, students can not only enhance their musical abilities but also cultivate a sense of belonging and creativity. "This business is such a valuable resource for our community! My children (ages 8 & 10 at the time) attended music camp there last summer & absolutely loved it. I should’ve left a review much sooner, but for some reason I just didn’t think about it until I saw their FB post advertising the camps for this umpcomimg summer & it reminded me what a great experience my kids had there. The owner & all of the teachers are so kind & gentle with kids of all ages & abilities. They truly have a gift for loving children! The classes are a lot of fun & they make it easy for even beginners to learn how to play an instrument. By the end of camp, the kids are able perform at a recital that’s open for parents & the public - and it was truly amazing to see how much they learned in such a short time! I will definitely be signing my children up again. The summer Music / Arts camp for kids is the only thing we have tried so far, but they also offer a variety of classes for babies - adults."
"I helped AUSW to improve their Information Systems and did some Computer Maintenance. I stayed for Oboe lessons and I love it! Their New Horizons Band program is amazing. Even if you are an adult and never played anything before in your life, in a couple of weeks you'll be playing!"
