"The worst visit to a doctors office I have ever experienced. I went in for a routine woman’s wellness exam. The first nurse I interacted with was nice and pleasant, I cannot remember her name. She took my vitals, updated my medications and asked me a few routine questions. I explained to her that Pap smears are very difficult for me. They just are. I had only ever had one previously and it was very unpleasant and painful. She nodded in understanding, registered my anxiety and said she would be there to hold my hand. She left the room for me to undress, and shortly after Dr Chang came in. He was brusque, quick, as if he was on a time crunch and he had somewhere else to be. I can understand that. Doctors are busy. He asked a few routine questions. I answered. I also explained to him that Pap smears are very unpleasant for me. He said something offhand like, “they are not suppose to be difficult, it is what it is”. He left the room and came back with who I presume to be a nurse (a different nurse than the one who had taken my vitals). I wanted to ask for the other nurse from earlier but I did not want to slow the process since it seemed like he was in a hurry. The breast exam was quick, uneventful. When it was time to proceed with the pelvic exam, I was already tense because of how quick everything was. He proceeded with the speculum in my cervix, I could feel my self tightening around the instrument. At the first sign of me tensing up, I could feel him getting frustrated. Then, he removed the speculum, and took off his gloves. He looked a little upset, I can't remember exactly what he said but it was something along the lines of “Well we can’t proceed, there’s no point, we’ll just cancel it. We’re done”, he practically ran out of the room, with the nurse following him just as hastily. The door shut behind them and I heard a chorus of laughter. Tears sprung to my eyes. It’s not like I was asking him to hold my hand, but a little compassion would have been nice. As a nurse myself, I have helped many patients through uncomfortable procedures. He’s bedside manners were awful. The second nurse was of no help at all. I will never book an exam here again. It was humiliating. The first Pap smear I had two years WAS unpleasant, but the doctor was patient and kind, and I was able to get through with the exam even though it was very uncomfortable."

"Dr. Chang and his staff are excellent. The first time I met with Dr. Chang to go over my test results, he spent a long time going over all my past medical history and all potential treatments with pros and cons. He is very knowledgeable and patient. His staff is also professional and every time I left him a message, he or his staff always responded to me within one business day. I am very impressed with Dr. Chang and his staff."

"Dr. Chang has been my gynecologist for several years and I always feel comfortable, listened to, and well taken care of when it’s time for my well-checks. His nurses are so kind and I never have an issue getting an appointment. I would travel from the Humble area to The woodlands to see him before the new facility was open in Porter, and I’d do it again if necessary! He and his staff are the best!"
