"Dr. Alvin’s bedside manors are wonderful. He listened and showed compassion when I met him. However, he did not run enough to test on me. I have PCOS and when he did my blood work, everything appeared normal….well anyone with this syndrome knows there’s nothing normal about our readings most of the time. In the same week of meeting him I went to a functional medicine doctor who had did very thorough blood work and it was determined that I had an under active thyroid and that could also be the reason for my infertility. Ever since I left that functional medicine office and was prescribed the correct medication, my life has changed. There is something else major that I discussed with Dr. Alvin and it was never addressed afterwards. Overall, I think he’s a good doctor but as a black woman we always get the short end of the stick when it comes to our health, especially pertaining to our reproductive system."
