"My girlfriend and I went to a 7:30 movie Saturday night. The staff was so busy with what seemed to be an unexpected high demand night. I appreciated how hard the folks were working and how well they managed the increased traffic. Thank you to all the folks working the ticket booth and concessions area."

"I don't mind paying the prices they are asking but I expect good service, clean bathrooms, and clean theater. I waited in line for 15 min at concession just for them to open the other side and take the people helping them away. My seat had popcorn and the table was sticky (good thing I brought my own wipes). The bathroom was by far the worst I've seen in awhile! Floor was sticky, smelled like multiple people peed on the floor, half the toilet were nasty and filled, napkins on the floor because trash was overflowing water all over the counters! It will be awhile before I return. It's sad how down hill this theater has gone!"

"This was a great place to take my significant other and enjoy a good movie. She loves the popcorn and the fact they have a little counter where she can add as much butter as she wants. Seats are comfortable. The theater, main hall and bathrooms are always clean. Will be going back again and again."

"Good time, extremely expensive. Concessions are a joke. Almost 10$ for an unrefillable fountain soda, and another 10$ for small popcorn is pretty outrageous. Raising the costs of these very low cost highly marked up items is not how you innovate and save a dyeing entertainment medium. In my opinion this is how you kill it sooner; probably wont go back anytime soon"

"The cinema 53 has been a staple part of the development in northeast Davenport for the last 3+ decades. I remember going throughout my childhood for various movies, though I hadn't visited since returning to the area a few years ago. With a night off of work, I decided to visit again to see the Mario Brothers movie. Much of the inside hasn't changed much. Sure, the furnishings have been updated through the years, but the general layout is much the same. There's a big concessions area in the center of the lobby, ticketing desks at either entrance, and a mini Arcade to one section. Most of the floor continues to be covered with carpet that seems perpetually covered in at least some stray popcorn. It's a movie theater, that much is certain. My favorite thing that has been updated since last coming here is the seats. Gone are the cramped, barely plush spring-returning seating of yore, arrayed across an endless expanse of perpetually sticky floor. Replacing these are large, plush chairs that recline electronically with mini tables to hold your popcorn bucket and other assorted snacks. This is truly an improvement of great magnitude - I'd come here in the summer just to take a two-hour nap is not for the cost of a ticket! The Mario Brothers movie was also great. I'd recommend it if you're familiar with the video games. I look forward to a return trip sometime in the future. Thanks, Cinemark!"
