"Love coming here always well stocked. There carnitas are the best around. I've tried other places either they're boiled and baked or boiled and fried. That's not how carnitas are made, La Morena knows how to cook them right. They're juicy and the flavors are on point. The tamales green and red hands down are delicious. I love this place."

I saw all the food ready for purchase including a butcher's case full of meat and coolers full of fresh produce. I remarked upon the community bulletin board, showing where to find jobs and where to find free medical care. A clerk didn't ask me about my business. Which I appreciated. The clerk seemed occupied in some assembly work. It is a simple store and yet it is magnifico."
