"I have been going to this salon since I was in middle school (now 30) and it feels like home. Julie is hands down the best of the best for anything skin care in STL. She takes time to evaluate, treat and make plans for your skin care routines all year round. She recommends products that are perfect for YOU as an individual and is transparent and caring. MaKina is my "go to girl" as well, her tint and lifts for eyelashes are unmatched. Both ladies do it all! When you walk into Jon Thomas you are a part of their family and everyone who works there could not be more friendly and professional. When I lived in Chicago I would come to STL monthly just to be taken care of at Jon Thomas. There is no place like it!"

"I shared before how bad of service the front desk (possibly owner) had when I showed up. For a second time they claimed to have called me, but my phone which I showed them never showed them calling. Instead, she asked if I was from out of town. My assumption is that I booked the stylist last time for the day and since I was a new customer she just left for the day. And because I was not an existing customer, they didn't care. Maybe this is why they have a rotation of stylist. Would not recommend this place."

"For a second time, this salons claims to call me to cancel. When I showed up they did not make me feel welcomed and bothered that I showed up. I booked online based on word of mouth. The service is horrible and assumed I was from out of town and gave me no options. Will never give them another chance. Very poor management!"

"I had a terrible experience at Jon Thomas In late March.I was never given a price list. But had my hair done by Carrie in foils and had my eyebrows waxed by someone else. I was charged$149 and it was a terrible job. When I got home the owner called my home and wanted to charge me another $100 But couldn't explain what I was charged for. I told her I had an appointment April 1 2023 for styling. And asked what it would cost.? I was told.On April 1 2023 my appointment for 930am was canceled by Carrie at845am I would Never recommend them!"

"Update to my review: Upon getting home and washing/drying my hair, I found that the stylist had not cut my bangs in the "waterfall" fashion. I specifically asked that my bangs be cut in a "waterfall" fashion and even found a photo in one of their salon magazines which I showed to her. Instead, what she gave me was a straight bang on my forehead with some longer side bangs. My bangs are not tapered and they look awful. Maybe if she had stood next to me instead of cutting my hair from a chair, this would have helped?? I called to speak with a salon manager and was told they were out of town. Of course. I can receive bad service and a bad hair cut for a lot less than $100 in St. Louis. PS: this stylist was more interested in selling silver jewelry and hair products than providing a good hair cut. First time there March 30th. Diane is a very nice person. Unfortunately, no one thought my haircut was worth paying $100 (I learned Diane charges $77 for a simple cut and blow dry. Each stylist has their own fee.) My hair looks the same as if I went to a SuperCuts or a Great Clips. Disappointing, but my co-workers and friends are right. It was a waste of money."
