"If you're into TX history, this is interesting. I'm not sure I would make it a destination, but I was just driving by. We couldn't go into the museum as it's closed on Wednesdays."

"Fort Belknap lies thirteen miles Northwest of Cracker Town (Graham). It is the third frontier fort I have visited, and I look forward to visiting the other five. It is the most treed that I've encountered and lends to it an elegant lushness that I found most pleasing to the eye. It has a nice museum inside the Commissary. I am quite fond of the artwork I find inside the Museums as they lend an air of realism to the period. If I close my eyes, the sounds of horses winning, metal clanking, wagon wheels rolling, and dust flying all come alive. Definitely worth a visit."

"I'm a history buff and this was a really neat place to visit. A LOT of the original Fort remains - definitely enough to get a good feel of the times."

"The museum here is "limited" in the sense that it's a county historical museum. There is a lot of stuff in the museum that is not related to the fort and its history. But, it could be interesting and educational anyway. The fact that it's not a state park or national monument also limits funding. But, this fort has an amazing history and is a beautiful setting. The director Jim Hammond knows his stuff regarding this fort and west Texas frontier history. You owe it to yourself to stop by this place."
