"i hesitate to give them a 1 star, since the haircut was good, but mary colored my hair and i asked for a warm color and got a very dark red, maroon. i called and asked if she could maybe throw in a few highlights to lighten it up and she said yes and gave me an appt. upon arriving, she sat me down in the chair snd in front of other customers and staff, proceeded to tell me that we dont communicate well, (i was only there the one time) therefore we werent a "good fit". and then said heres the money back for the color, good luck. this was very unprofessional and rude! i am 73 years old and i have Never been treated so rudely in a salon!!!!!!! so beware! Maybe choose another stylist but not her!"

Their staff is professional, reliable, and they managed to get a bride, 10 bridesmaids, and the mothers looking and feeling great, all in time for pre-ceremony photos! "These girls know what they’re doing!! We had them for our wedding in October, 2021. They were able to travel to our venue for services, which was a big plus! To say we had some changes leading up to the day is an understatement. Our numbers changed more times than I’d like to admit, timing changed, etc. They took everything in stride and made it all work for us! The trial for hair and makeup went so easily! I brought in some photos, they listened to what I did or did not want, and went to work! They were great at tweaking things to fit my personal preferences perfectly. The day of the wedding, they were on time, had everything, and were really pleasant to have around! We had all different hair and makeup styles and they nailed them all! I’d highly recommend On the Avenue Salon & Spa for anyone looking for hair and makeup."
"I am so picky about my nails and pedicures. Absolutely love love this place. Carmela is amazing. She does the best toes and amazing pedicures. She won’t hesitate to experiment different colors if that’s what I am in the mood for. And I can’t even talk enough about the facials. Amazing products for my sensitive skin. Would highly recommend this salon to anyone who is like me- expects excellence."
