"Washington-on-the-Brazos is getting better. Dogs on leash are welcome. There are historical markers and trails to walk. There is also a museum and plantation you can visit for a fee. This is where the documents for the independence of Texas were signed and the capital of the Republic of Texas. The visitor center and an adjacent building are being reconstructed."

"Our tour guide for the 1 o’clock tour was super friendly and full of lots of information about the park and Texas history. Not a lot of shade in some places but good place to walk around and they had a playground. Information center was nice and picnic tables around were nice. The living farm was really cool and the workers there were very sweet to my kid. Overall great experience."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time here! It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon to explore the grounds. We opted for a walking tour and were so glad we did! We learned so much interesting history that we probably wouldn’t have without the tour. Our guide Johnny was so knowledgeable, interesting and kind. The Barrington Plantation living history farm was beautiful. We will definitely come back for their events, especially as it expands. Really looking forward to returning! This was truly the highlight of my weekend :)"

"It's always a nice visit to Washington on the brazos. Interesting history stories and it's always cool to see how old buildings were built. Definitely makes me appreciate everything we have now! The employees are always so nice and willing to help you with anything. Also the little baby piggies are so freaking cute! Definitely a good relaxing outing for any family."

"A trip down Texas History Ln isn’t complete without a trip here. It was a beautiful clear day. The perfect day to be outside. The park is kept up well. The people working there are friendly. I visit here at least once a year."
