"Made my first Firearm purchase today. Scott was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with narrowing my needs and wants to a specific gun. Bear Creek got another customer today and I will recommend them to anyone else. Thank yall!"

"Terrible business ethics. These “professionals” close up shop early FYI. Change your hours of operation if you plan on leaving early every Saturday. This has happened multiple times so it’s not a one time occurrence. Shoot me a message if you need a consultant to correct your operation."

"I would not refer this location to my worst enemy. The owner (I presume he is the owner: grey beard, tall and soft around the middle), was insulting and condescending, apparently in-tune only with the sound of his own voice. I took a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 to the shop to have some mechanical issues addressed. I am NOT an armorer or gunsmith (as this bearded a-hole was repetitively quick to point out); however a 22 year career in the Army has acclimated me (intimately) with the nomenclature of a multitude of weapons. Additionally, after dissembling, cleaning and reassembling weapons for decades you could say I am adept at the anatomy of most popular military and civilian weapons. Regardless, the owner made it apparent immediately (as I attempted to explain the malfunction I was experiencing), he clearly understood every word I was saying but incessantly interrupted to correct my verbiage in an attempt to force-feed me his personal lingo. In an effort to diffuse this gent’s general distain for the sound of any voice other than his own, I casually mentioned I was career military with the 82nd Airborne . . . to which he responded, “all that means is you know how to jump out of airplanes.” He was serious. I also mentioned a fellow retiree I served with attended a Gun Smithing school in Colorado, which he immediately disparaged. Strike 2. I had to make a decision; leave the firearm with this arrogant blowfish or go to the trouble of clearing the weapon of its optics and flashlight before sending back to Smith & Wesson for proper care. For the sake of expediency I left the weapon with the self absorbed, bearded wonder. Once home, I began to read Google reviews of Bear Creek Firearms. Seems many others have similar experiences with the same gent. I woke today and was there to retrieve my gun and was pleasantly greeted by a younger gentleman with an awareness for customer service. I highly recommend any other gun shop than Bear Creek Firearms. I would pay twice the costs (which are very ambiguous at Bear Creek Firearms), than suffer the disrespect and pompous attitude of Mr. Greybeard. The gun is going back to Smith & Wesson and Bear Creek Firearms will forever be in the rear-view-mirror. As the owner likes to lash-out at negative reviews I am eagerly anticipating the response to this scorched-earth review . Slight edit to my original review in response to the much expected incendiary response from the owner: there are so many lies, and half truths in the owners response, that I am genuinely amazed. Not once on the phone and only once at the store did I mention I was prior military. Based on the owner’s response, which was much expected, I would now more so so than ever direct consumers away from this business. If the lack of integrity shown in his response is indicative of the way he runs his business then I would highly recommend going to any other gunsmith/firearms dealer; if he can’t be trusted to pen honest responses then he can’t be trusted with your business. As for the egregious and grossly overstated, “illegal,” firearm; I believe unless you have your FFL no reasonable consumer would know that a $17 addition to the butt stock would make it illegal, and it is very unlikely I would spend 10 years in prison; regardless, thank you for saving me the prison time . . . although you were very eager to repair the, “ illegal,” firearm. Would that make you culpable? I guess the chance to make a few dollars circumvents your moral outrage. Perhaps we could’ve shared a cell! As mentioned prior in the post, just read other responses that were less than adoring to the owner of the shop, and read the owner’s responses; you can judge for yourself."

"I needed a proprietary barrel nut loosened up and I didn't want to buy a tool that I would only use once, so I decided to come here to have it taken care of. They loosened the nut quickly and no damage to my firearm was caused. I'm very thankful and satisfied with that! Everyone was nice and respectful in the short time that I was there. However, they charged me $20.00 for the service that only took two minutes at max. I think $20.00 is a bit much for a job like that. Other than that, I have no further complaints. For simple requests such as this, I will likey go elsewhere. For more significant and complex requests, I will absolutely consider coming back! Response Edit: My original rating was 4 stars however after seeing how BCF handles any kind of criticism from paying customers, they deserve 2 instead. I never walked in expecting a free service and paying wasn't my complaint. All I said in my review was that I was charged a lot for a very simple job. Another reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because they assumed another reviewer named Mitchell was me leaving another review. Their review complained about their high transfer fees. BCF decided to make assumptions and bashed their criticism harshly as well. You would think that a small business that apparently costs so much to maintain would treat PAYING customers better so they would want to return but that's not the case. They instead overcharge and treat you like trash. If you criticize them, they lose composure, insult you, and pull the "business not cheap to run" card. In short, do you want good prices, deals, and customer service? This place isn't it."

"My brother was looking for a full size Sig 320 specifically and wanted to purchase in person. We went to several places before here and nobody really had that many sigs in stock. These guys a had a 320 X Compact on the shelf that worked out better for my brother. They were very helpful answering questions and comparing sizes to others. Nice little store, I would highly recommend!!!"
