"The shoe department is the worst, we were in the same spot for over 30 mins with no employee even acknowledging us. There was 3 employees (2male 1female) "working" but not even a hello, the female employee actually walked right in front of us didn't even saying excuse me also very messy. We went to the department over to look at Soccer balls & the guy there was very friendly. This is NOT the 1st time this has happen. This happen February 1, 2024 between 4-5 pm."
"Great Customer Service at this location! Placed an on-line order and needed to pickup the same day from a 1hr away drive and the manager Zack was very accommodating and took care of me to make sure my order would be ready for pickup, especially 5 days before the Christmas weekend! Bud in the hunting and guns was very helpful and friendly! Excellent Customer Service! Wish all Academy locations had great Managers and staff that care!"
"There is still a need for brick and mortar stores. When you need something ASAP, this is the best solution. The hubs and I were on the hunt for a water safe pouch for our phones, and we needed them before we left for our trip. Enter Academy to the rescue. It was quite easy to find their selection of water pouches and I was impressed they offered more than one style. The prices are also competitive and decent. The store itself needs more love and pride. There was merchandise everywhere and on some cases broken shelves. There was also only two registers open on a weekend evening after a major holiday. Odd. I know where to go to solve quick sports issues, but the shopping experience needs helps."
"So we wanted to exchange a recently bought soccer ball that is loosing air pressure and it’s not a good ball. Academy in Arlington at Arkansas refused to exchange it for a new one. The staff was rude and unhelpful. No starts for this Academy Store."
"There was so many people walking around carrying their baby's and toddlers because there were 0 carts. I asked an employee about it and she said she would get some. About 30 minutes later she was still standing in the same spot and didn't do anything. I didn't realize until I left they were all outside and none of the employees felt the need to get them. The clearance process sucked also. A lot of the regular priced shoes were better deals."
