Villa Palermo Pizza

"After placing my order, the male cashier( who was very friendly)took my card information but he put it in incorrectly and when the manager called me to tell me the card wasn’t going through, he kept hanging up on me. I asked him to repeat the card number that I gave the cashier when I placed my order, and he wouldn’t even do that. Comes to show, it WAS their mistake. He was being very rude to me and I had to get my husband involved. He wouldn’t tell me his name and threatened us he was going to call the police if we went to the restaurant ourselves. Very unprofessional and I’ve been ordering from them for over 10 years. It’s not the first time he is rude to us. When it happens, we let it go but enough is enough. Somebody has to put him in his place. He’s running a business and yet doesn’t know how to talk to people and can’t give out his name? Ive been waiting for over 30 minutes for my food just to tell me my card didn’t go through. That’s ridiculous. This guy needs to be FIRED!! He always carries a sassy attitude for everything, If you don’t like your job, quit and stop giving people a hard time for god sakes! Very Disappointing.. 0 stars."

"Good food most of the time but lately i been getting inconsitant food sometimes good sometimes bad. I pay my hard earned money to them and get treated unfair by complaining when they give me BURNED PIZZA OR FORGET SOMETHING AND BLAME ME thats not right not nice. Owner was rude to me told me my burnt piz,a was good. And im trouble customer no im great customer owner messed up IS THIS HOW PIZZA SHOULD LOOK BURNT THICK SEE SIDE HOW THICK SEE HOW BURNT UP. THAT IS NOT HOW PIZZA SHOULD BE TERRIBLE THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMD OF THEM SELVES. AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD ATTITUDE THEY LUCKY PEOPLE LIME THEM. ITS A SHAME THEY USED TO BE GREAT LONG AGO. "Ordered the Villa Palermo pizza and Veggie Combo. The portion sizes are generous. The pizza was lacking - the ingredients and cheese were as expected, good, not great, and definitely cooked right... but, the audacity to put hardly any sauce most of the crust is unforgivable. One can see a rim of baked-in sauce around the perimeter of the pizza, but check the other photo for side view of a slice. Couldn't even say what the sauce tasted like. I had to add ketchup! (yeah, that's right - eeeeew) The veggie combo - mushrooms, zucchini, cauliflower, and onion rings - turned out to be breaded (I should have guessed, but it didn't state so on the menu) and, in my case, overly deep fried and oily - to the point where the onion was basically caramelized/mush and everything tastes the same - like oily breading. I gave it 3 stars bc the pizza is decent-ish. However, I'm very unlikely to reorder. This place is always very busy, so I'm guessing others have better experiences. I often pass by here and wanted to give it a try."

"Wow first all these are the old school pizza joints I grew up around in little Italy Chicago. 109 degrees outside and 200 degrees inside but the guys doing what do best offer Chicago amazing pizza. My first time here and bought two slices huge serving lots of sausage sweet red saw. Great overall. 2 huge slices of sausage & liter of Dr Pepper 8.60. Amazing"
