"Great folks work here, folks playing there are going to treat you with respect if you treat them with respect. Always have a great time when I come in, meeting new folks, and throwing chips in. It can get interesting when the pot gets big. They play a variety of games, dealers are kind and are patient, and overall just a good little community of poker enthusiasts."

"This is a nice card house, a very loose on the poker etiquette in my opinion. Players constantly influencing action and board texture, players only showing there hands to certain players and not the entire table, playing out of turn was common. Even dealers explain the texture vocally, it one thing to tell a player the board is A of hearts, 2 of hearts, etc vs saying there are Two hearts on the board. Just very loose rules vs what I am accustomed to. I’ve won and cashed in several tournaments and play frequently at other larger card house in the state and this place just gave me a slight sketched out feeling. It could easily been my worst night of poker luck ever, but in one sitting I lost hands of AK twice, QQ twice, KK twice, JJ’s twice, and was river run flushed out on over 7 hands, three of which I had completed straights pre river. All in one tournament all to the same people, all who seemed to work or be affiliated with the card house. Like I said it could’ve been just the worst variance of my life but idk just semi sketchy vibes on that much variance vs employees of the place. There even was a hand where three of us claimed to have a ten in our hand and there was two tens on the board but no check of the deck was done. The cards they play with a very flimsy and easily bent and the chips they play with are almost magnetic in feel when then are stacked together. Another thing is they make you stand for the national anthem before the tournament, which is just kinda outta place, I mean it’s not the superbowl. I’m a Marine vet with two tours to Afghanistan, and I even I thought it was a strange request and if your gonna make people do this please get a real American Flag not a wooden Wall Art one. The do have an excellent snack bar. Overall I would play here again but not for anything more then $100 buy in."

"Fun place everyone is nice and take bad beats with class. I am wondering why is every day a no limit tournament there are other amazing poker games. Some WSOP satellites would also be worth playing for. The limit cash games last longer than no limit the club would make more money in people paying for time. I understand that there might not be enough limit players in Lubbock but with the right promotion good things can happen. Casual players appreciate getting a lot of play for there money instead of doing coin flips everyday"

"Drove out here from Odessa TX. Second night playing at Gin Mills. I absolutely enjoyed myself! Such a friendly staff professional poker dealers and a pleasant environment. I certainly see myself making a trip up here again soon just to play poker at Gin Mills. No other reason for me to be here in Lubbock tx..."
