"Needs to update and train servers on properly serving the beers they offer. Weihenstephaner specifically. How am I going to enjoy my favorite beer when it isn't served properly? Also they brought me the Dark version, not the original. Not the servers fault. She didn't know what they offered and clearly management needs to adjust their Training model to help inform the employees. Food was good. Service was wonderfully attentive."

"The server was super excellent and gracious. The pizza tasted as good as it looks in the photos. The crust was a work of art. Our salads were fresh and delicious. Drinks: I was actually shocked to see a 3-oz pour of cheap wine in a tiny glass. ($6) The server said that was the standard-sized pour, and she offered to remove it from our bill. (I accepted.) My husband's old-fashioned was also tiny and not good. He ended up switching to beer, and he was satisfied. I would heartily recommend this restaurant, but I think the management should change the policy about drinks. This is a family restaurant, so they probably don't get a lot of complaints about alcoholic beverages. It's just my experience. I would definitely go back and just order beer."

"Ordered a large pizza for carry out, when I showed up it smelled like a restroom inside it was not pleasant. Service was awesome but when I got home to eat, pizza was under cooked so I had to throw it back in my own oven. Ordered onions on my pizza and they were sliced HUGE so I had to take them all off. I’ve been here twice before and never had an experience like this one. Also my total was $25 and was shorted $5 when I got my change back, so in total I spent $30 for a large thin crust, just not worth the price."

"Phenomenal local pizza joint in a great neighborhood strip. Your usual options as well as unique specialty pizzas. They have both cauliflower and zucchini gluten free crust options. I tried The Rabbit which was a great vegetarian specialty with eggplant and artichokes. Bar and regular table height options for small to medium size groups as well as a small patio if the day is nice."

"If I could describe the perfect pizza crust and then have someone make it, I think it would turn out like the crust at Capital Pizza. Soft, chewy (in a good way), and warm on the inside, lightly crisped on the outside. The pizza is not soggy at all even though they don't hold back on toppings. There are lots of options for traditional and specialty pizzas, and a really extensive beer list. I typically love a BBQ chicken pizza, so I had to try the Smokehouse pizza which is similar but has pulled pork instead of chicken. It was SO GOOD. Meat lover's also was delightful and lived up to its name. The place is unassuming, there is parking available, and the service is very good. Update: It was so good we went back after a few weeks. This time, I had the special (Capital Cordon Bleu) and the flavor was everything I'd hoped for and more. The yellow topping is dijon drizzle. This place is consistently delicious. It'll be tough to try another pizza place in Lubbock in the future! Update 2: A few times, the crust has been a bit off (thinner and a little overcooked) but that is not the norm, as long as you don't order a thin-crust pizza (definitely opt for thick crust here!). This is still the best pizza place in Lubbock and it could rival pizza places anywhere."
