"We waited in the front lobby for 15 min. There was a girl that just came up, didn’t say a word to us, just started laughing and continued to wait for another staff member to seat us and he walked up and and just grunted at us?! And by that time there were 3 other tables that walked in and were waiting as well. We were told the food was good so we waited. I got tacos and they were good, tried to order another margarita but the server forgot about us. Food is a 10 but the service is trash."
"Great authentic Mexican Food, Mexican music jamin, be careful they're big portions, food is delicious, good price. Service is good and the atmosphere is welcoming. Gotta be the best Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Lubbock. It's very clean."
"Just wow!!! Came to drop off our son to TTU and he said we had to stop by El Mitote before we left. Let me just say lots of presence in their restaurant and their food. Service was awesome from the greeting to the waitress and the bus people. Everyone was so nice and when the food came out it was literally breath taking because of the presentation and the amount of food. We definitely want to come back on Wednesday because it said it was Karaoke night. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu."
"Absolutely horrible!! Nothing but Grease. I called in to complain and I was told that it was meat juices. We spent 91 dollars on tacos that were inedible. We have had Birra tacos elsewhere and never had anything like this. Totally disappointed and sick to our stomachs."
"Update: This place is not wheelchair friendly. They do not have any tables available for wheelchairs. NOT ANY! -------------------- OMG the food is amazing!! Everything was very delicious and freshly made. Friendly service and nice sporting atmosphere. Plenty of televisions showing a variety of athletic games. Spanish music playing. If you like Spanish food... you must dine here."
