"In all my years as a pharmacy tech, I've only ever had negative experiences dealing with Express Scripts. Idk what goes on behind the scenes, but I think y'all just need a complete overhaul. The worst experience was when a former patient called MY pharmacy, because Express Scripts wasn't helping her with a FedEx issue. Basically, FedEx showed her package as delivered, but FedEx had actually marked it as delivered by mistake. The pt told me she didn't receive the package, and because of FedEx's error, y'all wouldn't resend her medication. I then tried calling y'all myself, and after a 30 minute hold, I was given the same answer: "Fedex shows the package as delivered. She has the medication." I don't know if they thought the pt was lying or mistaken or what, but regardless, it's incredibly frustrating that no one bothered to look further into the issue. It was an easy fix too. I ended up calling FedEx myself, and they were able to locate and deliver the package proper. It was such an easy fix and she wasn't even my patient anymore. This happened 2 years ago and I'm still salty. It's a shame that she, and so many other patients, are required to use y'all because of their insurance."

"They're awful. They will let you run out of medication without any calls or communication. Worst customer service I've ever seen."

"I'm not sure why this company has the military prescription contract but you're better off going through a VA pharmacy or local pharmacy. Been battling with these people over my prescriptions not being sent on time and so much red tape and excuses. Come to find out, the medicine they were so strict on getting doctor's pre authorization and medical necessity was only $16.49 at my local pharmacy for a 90 day supply. Skip the red tape and ditch Express Scripts is my advice."

"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I've been waiting on the phone for an hour to ask questions about the delivery of my sons medication. Not sure if they are competent enough to even answer any of my questions. AVOID...AVOID AT ALL COST!"

"If you want to spend 8 hours across 8 calls (plus communications to your doctors office to coordinate multiple pre-auth requests and offer apologies for the inconvenience) THIS company should be your insurance provider. ES: "They sent it to the wrong fax number" ES: "You already have authorization, but you need "patient-level" authorization" ME: "...you were covering this for 6 months already... why is there a change?" ES: "You cannot fill this script again until one year from now -until 2024 - (it's 06/13/2023) and it looks like we capped you at 6 doses.. (it's one dose a week)" 1) YOU CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE FROM EMAIL MARKETING 2) EVEN IF YOU ATTEMPT TO SIGN UP FOR THE DISCOUNTED MEDS THROUGH MAIL, YOU WILL BE REJECTED. This company is a monument of inefficiency, and one of the major contributing factors for the many reasons American healthcare is so corrupt, fraudulent and abusive compared to (any other, any single....) developed nation in the world."
