"Familiar with this place for over 35 yrs and a Glenview resident. Will only come their with spouse or when I intend to pick up entire check. Several times 6 or 8 of our friends suggested Grandpas but when I told them they will not give separate checks in this day and age of computers, we all decided on going somewhere else. This policy is antiquated and unnecessary as was told to us by other restaurants. Nobody likes playing the "how much do I owe" game."
"This year I chose Grandpa’s place to host my company holiday outing- lets just say I got a big bonus! Kidding aside, it was the perfect space to celebrate! Our wishes for set up and decoration were accommodated! Festive lights were in place and a fantastic music selection set the perfect tone. The Chicken kabobs were a huge hit, amongst other restaurant staples, the Reuben, Burgers, and salads! Our Server/ Bartender Bill was very attentive, gave perfect suggestions and made our party feel special. We are already thinking of reasons to return- i think we found our place! Much thanks to the Grandpa’s staff♥️"
"Great place to spend some time before getting on the train (no food available on most). Excellent service here!!! Waitperson (Beth) was friendly and very attentive and efficient. Good pub food, but disappointed in the chili - a few extra cans of drained beans in the pot and less liquid would have been appreciated. Prices were very reasonable. Look forward to visiting again!"

"Great place to meet up with friends! We sat on back patio early on them inside later. Patio was very relaxing and we had great service. Metra is right across the street so easy access, tho a bit loud during weekday rush hour. Adds to the small town charm tho. Inside was warm and inviting, tho there was definitely a 'smell' we noticed when entering. Super nice bar staff. Lots of fun! Those that ate had chicken kabob plate and said it was to die for."
