"If there’s 3,5 stars I would give that. A local friend recommended because she saw Indonesian food being specified in the menu when she visited. I am an Indonesian currently living in Chicago. I think PhatPhat serves more Singaporean-Malaysian dish than it is Indonesian (I lived in Singapore for 8 years). Having said that the food was decent. - The wings were my highlight because of its crunch and flavor. - Mie goreng was good, but can be more flavorful - beef rempah (rempah means fragrant) but it was a little on the sweeter note. - I was not a fan of the Xiao long Bao. The dough tasted like cake due to its coloring (possibly cake coloring). I’m not a fan of the tangy flavor. The beef was a little dry for Xiao long Bao. I’ll come back for the wings, and maybe try other things. If Indonesian food is what you’re looking for, I’d recommend an Indonesian grocery store closeby that sells authentic Indonesian food on Saturdays."

"Very beautiful place, I love the minimal yet industrial look of the interior. The staff was super sweet. Everyone was so attentive and kind, they just seem like genuinely kind people, especially our waitress. Food was good, could be better. I felt the dumplings were a bit too thick..dough wise. The fried rice tasted good but the look wasn't so nice. The banana spring rolls and the garlic chicken wings were the best."

"Finally, halal beef soup dumplings! It was worth experiencing. The lady who served us was so kind and welcoming, she accommodated us even though we were lugging around luggage prior to heading to the airport. The shrimp fried rice was also tasty! I thought the mango buns were adorable. Definitely recommend checking out!"

"Been wanting to try Phat Phat for a long time. Once you walk in you get a warehouse feel. Very modern fixtures with booths and tables. Nice bar area. We were greeted by the waitress and were seated promptly. Menu is easy to read with mainly pictures. I wish it had better descriptions of the food as the server offers no assistance. They offer Southeastern Asian and Indonesian entrees. Prices are moderate but portions are small. Plates were brought out as they were prepared so you which I did not like. Ordered the Orange Chicken Soup Dumplings. Flavorful but small portions. Also had the Sichuan Wontons Dimsum. Again small in size and lacking flavor. Since I was still hungry I ordered the Garlic Chicken Wings. Very small in size, overpriced and super salty. A dipping sauce would have been nice but when I asked the server, she only offered chili oil. My wife wanted a Gluten Free dish and they only suggested the beef fried rice which was super bland, overpriced and lacking beef. With so many choices of restaurants in the area,I don't think we will be back."

"Delicious Chinese food. What a pleasant surprise to see that they offer selective Indonesian foods. The chicken satay was little salty. The fried fish was very good but little oily. Nelly and another waitress were very friendly and attentive."
