"I can’t say enough great things about Eddie Merlot’s!!!!! We had such an amazing date night here! From the minute you walk in, the staff is attentive, kind, and super welcoming. Janey was our server and she gave us great recommendations. She was very sweet and made us feel cared for. The food was delicious and the dessert was soooo good!!!! The seafood tower was such a great appetizer and the filet mignons melted in your mouth. Jack and Frank (management team) were so awesome and checked on us multiple times which we appreciated so much! It’s always impressive when GMs check on your table, to ask about your experience and how your food is tasting. That says a lot about a restaurant and we are definitely coming back soon!!! "We had a family holiday dinner here. I found this place because they were one of the few places kind enough to agree to a rsvp for 15 without making us a “private event” with minimums etc. I was impressed with the ambiance. They had a Christmas tree and nice decor for the holidays a week before Thanksgiving. Our server wasn’t great. He wasn’t very bubbly or hospitable. He insisted we share side dishes even though we were all wanting to order them individually. We still ordered them the way we wanted. The food wasn’t great either. The children’s burger meal came out VERY underdone. We were sat at 4pm on a Sunday and only one other table had guests when we arrived but it still took the kitchen close to 45 minutes to get all our food out to us. My filet mignon was average, my brussel sprouts were void of flavor, and others thought the food was ordinary. It wasn’t cheap, and when the bill came we asked for it to be split for multiple parties and the server simply said he wouldn’t. Our bill was close to $500 and i think we could’ve had a better meal at Cracker Barrel. I would NOT recommend this place to others."

"Food is beyond the WOW factor. Cooked perfectly and presented with pride. Food came out slow but there was a private dinner being held but still the food came out slow. We were there for 2 1/2 hours but not complaining as it was date night. Steaks were cooked exactly the way we wanted and they were well seasoned. Atmosphere was outstanding and matched the tone of the food presented. I rated the service lower because side our waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu and had to go back to the kitchen a few times to get answers. We to ask for refills and often went dry for spells. Believe there were only 2 waiters for the entire dinning room so must have been short staffed? The people delivering the food to the tables were not aware of the table locations and were delivering wrong food to the wrong tables. Not complaining as it just gave us more things to talk about, date night. All in all, the night was a success and we left satisfied! I will be returning next month for anniversary."

"Everything about Eddie’s merlot was amazing. From the time we arrived, we were greeted with a welcoming smile by the wonderful staff. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was attentive and recommended drinks (nice wine selection) & also gave great recommendations for food! This restaurant is 10/10. My partner and I are from Miami so we do love a nice steakhouse and we have a wide selection when it comes to steakhouses back home and this place made us feel right at home. Best place for a date night! Must try. We will be back whenever we’re back in the Chicago area."

"I recently celebrated a special occasion at this restaurant and it was the perfect choice. I took my dad here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was also delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. I would definitely come here again for another special occasion or just a nice dinner out. If you're looking for a perfect place to celebrate, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out."
