Steak 'n Shake

"This place makes me so sad. It used to be a bustling and lively place to eat. The food is still excellent. The few people who work here are great. However they got rid of all the servers and focused on dine out and now this place feels like a Wasteland of a restaurant to eat at. Even on a Saturday evening (where the photos are from) this place is empty as heck and the lack of servers is unnerving and feels dystopian. I feel like I'm eating delicious food in a liminal space. None of this is the fault of the few employees who work here who are absolutely friendly and excellent. They really need to bring back the servers and market themselves more because of how barren it is it feels like it's running out of business and everytime I come here I feel sad."

"I didn't mind waiting 30 minutes in the drive thru. I didn't care that the guy working was new and didn't know what he was doing. I didn't care that he tried to charge me $18 instead $10 because he was looking at the wrong order but after all that, the Frisco melt was over cooked, dry and chewy and barely warm and my fry cup was only half full. If I have to wait 30 minutes for the food it should at least be fresh. Instead of apologizing for the wait time why not just give some extra fries?"

"I've experienced the worst places to eat on the planet. This, however, is just sad to order from. Ordered a simple steakburger with no onions. They managed to F that up by putting onions, with lettuce, and no pickles. This place is trash and needs to be shut down or completely re hire the adult manager and weed children working here. What a disgrace to our city."

"First time eating at one. The burger was good and reasonably priced. The milkshake was quite good. Didn't have anyone take your order so use the touchscreen so I made a mistake and put extra onions on the chili. Still good though!"

"So... there I was... AGAIN!!!... Driving around on a Late Summer's Day in August... with the temperatures in the mid 80°s... But the heat... the heat was SO HOT... that when I drove by a GROUP OF TREES... I wanted to stop... and cool off under them... But suddenly... I became SUSPICIOUS of the Trees and I did not stop... YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY...(you are going to love this answer)... BECAUSE THEY SEEMED A BIT........ ** SHADY **.................. OK, OK... call off your guard dog... I will show myself out... But first let me tell you about my lunch at Steak & Shake... It Was FANTASTIC... There were lovely cooks preparing the meal... but no waitress to seat me. They have a New Kiosk to place your order. And then you can seat yourself where ever you would like to sit. They prepare everything fresh... and you can taste it... They have the 4 for $4 Special. Plus I was just in time to take advantage of the Half Price HAPPY HOUR Weekdays from 2pm to 4pm... Hey... maybe you too can pay them a visit... They have really cool music to listen to while waiting... or you can try to win some stuffed toys... But you will leave very happy and still have enough to add more gas to your gas tank to come back and visit them again."
