"What has happened to Pal Joey’s? The pizza has become flavorless. The pizza sauce had no flavor; there wasn’t enough of the sauce on the pizza; and crust (for thin) was so rigid that when picking up slices, they didn’t even bend. That’s how rigid they were. Another member of our party commented, “This is like Domino’s.” OUCH! We also ordered the Red Bell Pepper Garlic Bread, which came to the table room temperature and the fontina cheese not melted. We couldn’t even taste the garlic. I am of the vintage that Pal Joey’s is the place where you took your prom date to. Now granted, the last pizza I ordered from here was when they were on Randall Road. Apparently much has changed moving back into their Downtown Batavia location. Come on! You can do better than this!"

"It was our first time at this location, we loved the West Chicago one and it is missed. We went for a dinner of 20 and got a private room which was really nice. The pizza was good but I personally prefer thin crust. The toppings were fresh and the dough was good...just too much bread for me. There was live music on Friday and that made it more special. We'll definitely go back and I'm hoping the thin crust is just like the other location. And, I may even book my parents 70th birthday dinner there....great price!"

"We decided to get burgers to go. Our order got completely messed up and medium well is obviously far past well done. The taste is awful. We had no ketchup or mustard included even though we asked for it. They were not busy at all so I see no reason why the food was made this way!"

"Great pizza. Love the view of the river. Great service. The pizza crust seems thinner than usual, and the pizza needs more sausage. It was still great!"

"Great pizza, especially the deep dish which has the perfect crust, crispy around the outside edges. The Pepe pasta is creamy, delicious and spicy, and the Caesar salad with homemade dressing is fresh, crisp, and a great side to the pizza. The river views can't be beat! In the summer, the patio is a great place for a date night, with fire tables and live bands. In colder weather, the indoor patio also has beautiful views of the river. Prices are very reasonable, servers are friendly and efficient, and the bartenders are excellent. It is one of our favorite local hangouts."
