"Even though I have lived in Geneva for twenty years now, I had never set foot in the Herrington or its lovely restaurant, Atwater's. What I have been missing! The room is gorgeous, with old-world charm, the view of the Fox River so soothing, and the food was excellent. My friends and I met there for lunch during the holidays, and I have to say that I cannot wait to return. Absolutely wonderful!"

"We will definitely be back. My filet was undercooked, so unfortunately my husband ate his whole meal while I watched. His lobster thermidor was underwhelming. It was our anniversary, and we were greeted before we sat down with two glasses of champagne. It truly was a special touch and helped us celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary with style. The kale and beet salad was amazing. It is worth twice the price. Our bread was stale and inedible. We noticed that the people next to us received some yummy pretzel rolls. The highlight of the evening was between the room itself and the amazing amuse bouche. That little grape packed a punch. I wish I could have sent back my filet and ordered 10 of those grapes. The room itself is a true treat. Very intimate. Feels like a private upscale suite."

"We like going to Atwater's every month or so. The ambience is classy, perfect for romantic dinner. It's right by the river so you can even sit outside by the riverfront. The food is always great, but our visit today was made extra welcoming by Trisha. She's an amazing host, very kind, considerate and ensured that we had a great time."

"Tonight we celebrated our first private dinner together as husband and wife. We are staying at the Harrington and decided to eat at the on site restaurant Atwaters. From the moment we arrived Kate and Connor were taking care of our every need. Kate suggested the brussel sprouts with goat cheese and walnuts and they did not disappoint...best brussel sprouts we have ever had. We also loved the mussels and tomato soup (my new husband's first mussels and he was impressed). For dinner I had the fillet cooked rare and it was by far the best steak I have ever had. Brad had the salmon and it was also divine. For desert we choose the Creme Brule and Cheesecake and they were both incredible. Thank you Nick and Annie and the whole kitchen staff for the best dinner I've ever had and for making our wedding weekend even more perfect. Kate, you are absolutely wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to talk with us, for taking such great care of us out on the patio and for generally just being incredible. If you are looking for a restaurant with amazing food, a great atmosphere and the sweetest kindest people, give this place a shot. Thank you all!"
