Marco's Beef in Chicago

"I visit this establishment because it was highly recommended by my sister. I decided to go but I live an hour away. I came anyway took my time drove come all the way out here. I don’t like eating in the car and I wanted to share with the family so I asked him if I can get the Italian beef dry but they can put the juice on the side for me as I want to take it home which is an hour. I don’t want it to be soggy when we get home let everybody choose on their own and extra dollar 50 to hold juice on the side , McDonald’s doesn’t charge me for ketchup to go or mustard. Restaurants don’t usually charge for condiments to go. I asked him why young lady said it’s because of the container what do you know? I just bought some brand new containers at the store or we can’t use that OK can I don’t want a big amount I just need a little 2 ounce 1 oz. sample cup for each sandwich, no they want to give me a Styrofoam and they want me to buy extra to go. I don’t think that’s fair. I ended up at Buona beef and they gave me to go per sandwich. I just think it’s weird it’s already worth coming to spend our money in your establishments. Why hike up every little thing I only wanted an ounce of juice So I left ended up at Buona beef I did initially spend more money on Bona beef, but for me, it wasn’t about the money it was the principal however, I did buy their peppers so I can put it on my Bona beef sandwich"

"I called to preordered my food. I requested my beef sandwiches be xtra dipped with fries. When I got home with my order, my sandwiches were just damp not extra dipped and my fries were not even warm they were cold. I was very disappointed! I called and John answered the phone and I tried to explain my issue to John but he just kept over talking me telling that I took too long to pick up my order. I only lived about 15-20 minutes tops away. I tried to tell John that my sandwiches not being xtra dipped should have been affected but he just kept over talking me. I finally had to terminate the call. That was $25 and 20 minutes of my life wasted . I will never step foot in Marco beef ever again and I will make sure that neither my family or friends support that establishment."

"I use to love this place. Today I ordered via Grubhub. they forgot my fries, the gyro meat was never put on the grill, the pita bread looked dirty the onions looked old, the sauce was watery and sloppy on the gyro, the chicken wings were flavorless, the pizza I was afraid to eat it with everything else being so bad. It was a waste of $25 and lunch hour. Will never order again."

"I went here for an early lunch. They had just opened, but there were people already coming in. I went with the Italian Beef Daily Special. The beef was excellent, tender and juicy, full of flavor. The hot giardiniera was great. The fries were the crinkle cut style which I very much enjoy. These were fried perfectly. They have RC pop, rare and delicious. The people there were friendly. The place is clean. Bicycling: I'm not to familiar with the area, but there were some busy streets. The great thing is they have an outdoor eating area which is nice."
