"Amicis used to be so good years ago. We visited for a birthday celebration and the service was just fine but the taste and quality of food was not. My shrimp was tiny and overcooked with my Alfredo. Our soup came out at room temperature. The servers did bring out hot soup when we let them know."

"Drove past a million times and always curious. Dined with 11 friends on a weeknight. Restaurant not crowded. As we were waiting for the last few members of our party, service was terrible. The waitress didn't come by to ask for our drink order until everyone was there. Pretty weird. We all ordered dinners and yet no bread baskets until we began eating. Right before we ordered, another waitress was brought and they each took one table side, i.e. only 4-5 people. The red- headed waitress was only slightly better than the young lady with dark hair and Eastern European accent. I had to seek her out for refills. We HAD TO ASK for grated cheese at an Italian restaurant. I ordered the "homemade" gnocchi. I substituted tomato cream sauce for vodka sauce because never in my entire Italian life have I ever had Vodka sauce with onions. Very weird. Minestrone soup so-so. The potato gnocchi were kinda heavy- the antithesis of good gnocchis. AND they were chewy, meaning they were undercooked. Tomato- cream sauce runny. Neither waitress checked on us during meal. Again, had to seek them out for more drinks, etc. The atmosphere was probably once very nice. The strings of warm, white lights were homey along with the fireplace. But other than that, place looked shabby and dusty. A plate of pasta was $20. It included soup or salad. I. Will never, ever return. Too many other restaurants that have way better service and much better food."

"Always passing by this beautiful exterior restaurant, decided to go in for a quick lunch. Inside is as nice as it was from outside.. Had artichokes for appetizer, wasn't seasoned bad, but it was chewy, so there was quite some left on the plate.. Server at first was friendly and really helpful as we thought, but further the lunch was going, we didn't have that same feeling. She suggested their signature pasta, which is THE WORST pasta I've ever had, just look at the photos where the "sauce" nowhere close to sauce, no thickness at all, it was just milk!!! I needed spoon to get that sauce to my mouth.. The ham that was sliced, was quality of food for dogs. I couldn't hide my dissappointment, so I told the waitress in a polite way and she didn't wanna hear about that pasta was bad, she said It's maybe not made by my taste, so that pissed me off even more. Never ever I will be back at this place!"

"Great food. Friendly server. Such a homie staple in the neighborhood. Beautiful place to enjoy great Italian food. The baked clams were great. The Lemon Italian Sorbet though was too incredible to perceive. A must try!"
