"An adorable and quaint local gem. We came for lunch and the staff was very sweet and attentive and the food was delicious. We got a rueben as well as a turkey sandwich and to drink we got a vanilla latte, and a mocha. All was delicious! Next time I’ll take pictures as we forgot because we were excited to grub :)!"
"Weirdly refreshing food. Definitely fresh and well-made. Hot chocolate was good. Coffee was OK. Homemade quiche was amazing. And I don’t even like mushrooms. Philly steak was amazing. Not super greasy - very fresh. Only downside was slightly upset seeming worker. Maybe she just has that look to her or maybe she just needed a break I hope she’s OK."
"I love stopping and eating here at this British-decorated place on Lake Bluff’s downtown street. Tables are both inside and on the sidewalk. Today’s quiche portion (with potato salad on the side) is huge and delightful. Many sandwiches are available."
"Pure and Lighthearted staff, felt right at home here. I’m active duty Navy, and came today to order a sandwich and a coffee. A very kind veteran paid for my meal and I’m incredibly thankful for that. If you’re reading this thank you for your service sir. The sandwich was heaven and the coffee was amazing. I will come back to this place when I am visiting Great Lakes again. But I wish well to this sandwich shop and hope it become a bigger sensation for others to try!"
"I had the Cajun Beef Sandwich made as a wrap with a side of homemade coleslaw and homemade potato salad, with a Dirty Chia Latte. The food is exceptional. Very pleased with the flavor profile although a bit on the hotter side, be prepared they mean CAJUN! I arrived at lunch time and the place was packed. The staff were extremely friendly and proficient. This was a wonderful find and I highly recommend."
