"Pros - Chipotle is next door - Some office staff were friendly & kind Cons - Entry gates are left wide open 99% of the time - Vehicles were at times vandalized - Broken down vehicles are left in the parking area - Flour beetle and cockroaches found in the apartment - Homeless found loitering / sleeping in the complex - Big tenant turnover, sometimes after 1-3 months & frequently after a year. Would guess more than 1/3 of the complex was vacant. - Parking lot parties with bottles smashing through the night - Vehicles from the 24-hour drive through next door thumped bass until early morning routinely - Hot water does not work 2-3x per month - without fail~! - Heat didn't work well in the winter months, would constantly blow freezing cold air, no matter how long you let it cycle. Electrical space heaters need to be purchased if you live here. - Outside patio door had been shredded by the prior owner’s dog, took over a year to fix after multiple requests - Toilet ran constantly, had to turn off the water valve to sleep, repair team did not know how to fix and kept closing work orders - “Newly Renovated Apartments” have a vinyl film placed over the old cabinets and composite wood counters, super cheap material that creates saw-dust from the materials breaking down every time you open cabinets, popcorn walls and ceilings, nothing luxurious. Management has been advertising newly renovated apartments for over 3 years. - The company seems to cycles through office staff 2-4x per year. - Capital improvement projects in 2023 caused damage and happened without appropriate warning for what and when was taking place ... (patio furniture and plants were ripped up, thrown in a pile & covered in paint from apartment deck being re-painted, a construction crew grinded and stripped paint from the metal covered parking structures. Management did not inform tenants about when to move vehicles, which ended up being covered in paint chips that melted on vehicles in the triple digit heat.) - Raised rent over 22% after the first year, and requested another raise several percentage points higher the following year. - They kept 75% of the security deposit with statement of erroneous charges. I had the apartment professionally cleaned and photographed after moving out. It was left in better shape than received at move-in. - Crème de crème, 4 homicides occurred within yards of the complex during my tenancy (can be found online). The main road in front of the apartment complex was taped off for two of them. - I had an uncomfortable experience living here and believe the ownership group (Cushman & Wakefield) care little about their tenants and are solely interested in capturing revenue. I typically would rather not leave a poor review, but wanted to share these experiences so others can make educated decisions."

"Feels like section 8 got a splash of paint and new carpets. And way more expensive! Management promised some kind of compensation for living with a cold shower for over a month, but never gave or discussed any compensation after that day. They are dodgy about giving service animal discount for our pet we didn't have documentation for when we applied but have now, we have to jump through hoops to get the pet rent removed. We got a 3 month lease. So far we've been here a month and a half. Maintenance is pretty much inept They show up relatively quick within a day or 2. But they suck at getting the job fixed. We had to put 4 work orders in to get the shower fixed, 2 for the leaky sink, 2 for screens, one for the garbage disposal which I fixed myself. They kept marking orders completed and its either not completed or still doesn't work great. We still have issues with bugs and the stove. And really the shower has improved from 10% functional to 75% but a low bar is not what paying a premium is about. I've given up I have to deal with this is the best they'll do, now they are downgrading hardware which makes it even more frustrating. The cockroaches are insane, we've literally had maintenance in our unit what feels like half the time we've lived here. New carpet and paint is just not enough. To top it off, and I'm just sick of putting in work orders to have to have maintenance come back to fix it again. I can fix things better. But I'm not going to touch anything because if I screw it up I get fined. Its like they don't really know how to do their job. The manager has been nice about getting a rush order on things (that should have been fixed ages ago), but we are just human, how are we supposed to know their guy installed something wrong when we just see the new shiney thing and we trust the guy knows how to do his job correctly, but when you start at 10% completely dysfunctional. A 20% improvement is something but its far from 100% which you expect at these rent prices. We are struggling with renewing our lease because its really been a nightmare. And maybe a new space will be just as bad. But I wake up with a headache daily because the AC is in the ceiling of the bathroom and blasts with an echo, and the bathroom is attached to the bedroom so closing the door does nothing. I'm frustrated, and sick of not having privacy because maintenance is here all the damn time."

"Staff is responsive to all requests, and the maintenance manager and office calls to ensure requests were completed to tenants standard.Noelia is so kind and patient even when I call for everything, she listens, responds, and follows through till the end. The landscaping is beautiful around the whole property. The tenants are so nice we all go out to the beautiful resort style pool, hang out, cook, listen to music. This place is definitely a hidden gem."

"The new management at Hillside Creek Apartments is amazing!! They have implemented so many positive changes and are working towards getting the community to come together by hosting various events. They are kind, considerate, and you can tell that they really care about their residents. This is a stark change from the management that was here before. Now, my work requests get solved promptly, the laundry room has been fixed, and they are working on fixing the front gate. I have always thought of Hillside Creek as a little gem because the apartments are cute, affordable and at a great location. Now they have good management with Noelia as the manager as a cherry on top."

"Hideous logo rebrand!! There's a lot to like about Hillside Creek (location especially) but there is constant property management turnover. The latest company (Northstar Group) managing the property has been the worst so far in my 4 years of living here. Property management team has poor communication skills, and they don't hesitate to nickel & dime you at every turn."
