"There is a problem with cockroaches that is difficult to treat. These apartments are the worst I've ever lived in."

"They have no gates or gate codes here and homeless regularly roam the parking lot. We had a bike stolen, amazon packages stolen, and our car scraped. We have seen the maintenance guy scavenging in the garbage and wonder if he stole our property."

"This place is the shame of west campus. The staff / management don't tell you about the shared ventilation system and the stench of cigarette smoke, dirty pets, garbage, and other things that come through the ventilation system. This place is not for students; don't be fooled by the staff and marketing nonsense. This is my last year at UT and I advise all students to avoid this dump; I stayed here to save money; but saved very little; and did not enjoy the experience there."

"Day 1 of moving in and the place was full of roaches. My apartment was literally infested. Had to use like 11 cockroach foggers/poison and there's still so many left. Also my apartment was not cleaned at all.....Take these reviews seriously they're not exaggerated."

"Pros: -Cheap -Close to campus -Free parking -Management and maintenance have been friendly to me and fairly quick with any repairs/maintenance requests (EXCEPT with the roach problem, which I will describe further below) Cons (PLEASE be aware of these before choosing to live here): -Rooms are very small, can be difficult to store all your belongings -You cannot control your AC temperature in certain rooms, so often times it is too hot. Me and my neighbors have had to leave our doors open at night sometimes to let the cool air in. -Rooms are VERY old (unless maybe yours is a renovated one). They were built in the 60's so they do not have grounded outlets (3 prong holes for your electronics) and the water pipes are not consistent (the water will randomly switch from hot to cold and lose a lot of pressure sometimes in the shower) -People here do not seem to be very good drivers. I just bought a new car and it already has a scratch on the side of it from somebody hitting it while it it was parked in the parking lot. -And the worst of all so far - ROACHES. I have had roaches coming into my apartment for the last 6 months. The pest inspector has baited/trapped/bug bombed my room so many times yet they still keep coming in. I am a very clean person, however one of my neighbors has a roach nest in their room, causing the roaches to keep coming back to mine. I have reported this to management a countless amount of times yet they insist that "They have done all they can do" and can't do anything further to prevent roaches from getting in. Overall, I don't think this would have been THAT bad of a place to live at had there not been a roach problem and if I had my own thermostat in my room to control the temperature. Perhaps I just got really unlucky, however I would highly advice you stay away from the non-renovated units, as you will likely run into the same problems as me. Make sure you check out your unit in person before signing. It's probably worth paying a little bit more for a slightly bigger and newer apartment elsewhere in west campus. Don't be too cheap and end up regretting it. Side note: Some of these 5-star reviews are fake if you didn't notice."
