"I have stayed at Marquis at Ladera Vista for almost 7 years and recently have relocated. Location is great, everything you need is within 10 min drive max, including Domain area. Lots of trees inside the complex with trails, to me it looks like a forest, even deer come over sometimes. Spacious apartments with big patios, modern appliances and very quiet inside. You don't hear your neighbours at all. Separate thank you to the management team and Alison in particular. Very welcoming, respectful and nice people. They really care about residents and the property. Never had issues with maintanance requests either, always quick and responsive. Spending 7 years in the same apartment complex tells a lot by itself and I know that many residents are staying there long term as well. And for those who worry about their vehicle safety - apartment has camera system at the entrance\exit and garages (available for rent) along with free iluminated covered parking. Me personally have never had any safety concerns during my stay."
"I've lived here for nearly a year now, and I can genuinely say my experience has been top-notch. Outside of unpredictable events, like the lightning causing issues with the gate, everything's been amazing. Whenever I've put in a maintenance request, they've mostly been handled the same day. The team that manages the apartment operations is super efficient and effective. The office staff, above everything else, is truly exceptional. They're kind, welcoming, and really pet-friendly! Everyone's friendly and genuinely invested in the community. Among all of them, Amanda stands out. She's one of the sweetest and most knowledgeable members of the team. She goes the extra mile, more than anyone I've seen in such roles, to help residents. With such attentive service, a warm community, and standout staff, it's clear why this place is more than just a residence — it's a genuine home. If you're considering a move, this is undoubtedly a top choice. You'll feel welcomed and valued from day one."
"Unsafe to live - Car and apartment break ins, stolen property, and management apathy This used to be a great place and still has a lot of potential. But management apathy with the manager named Allison have seen it decline into an unsafe and unwelcome place. The gates of the property are broken for more of the time than they function, including several months continuous last year during which the homeless under the nearby flyover and other thieves found us to be an easy target. There have been several car break-ins per month since the beginning of this year and multiple resident ring cameras have found suspicious people trying the apartment doors in the middle of the night to enter. The mailbox area key system routinely breaks leaving you unable to access your mail, and community and apartment property is routinely in a state of disrepair. Allison took only one action and that is to make bold a line in the lease renewal that "Management is not responsible for the safety of the property" and asks the residents to call the police if we see anything. When residents report car break-ins and stolen property, her response is "don't leave anything in your car. If you check your lease, you've signed an agreement that management is not responsible for your safety" instead of acknowledging that perpetually broken gates were the problem. Many residents are hesitant to complain or post anything publicly since Allison then targets people with false lease violations and other forms of harassment. If you are considering moving in, ask if Allison is still the property manager. If yes, stay away."
"Original Review (5 stars ~1 year into lease): Quiet, spacious apartment with nice neighbors and great amenities! Update 1 year later: A decent unit but had to bring down to 2 stars due to horrible security and apathetic front office staff. Happy to have moved out. The front gate was constantly broken, leading to constant car break-ins and acts of vandalism. Even when the gate worked there were clear access points where criminals could enter. Residents did not get any assurances it would be fixed, or that additional security measures would be taken. Instead, for 4 months in a row (January-April 2023; 9 times total during my time there), we received the SAME copy/pasted email blaming residents, saying we need to be alert and not leave anything in our cars. This clearly did not help. In the span of 6 months I saw at least 2 neighbor's car windows smashed, my partner’s car was broken into, and my car's catalytic converter was stolen (found my car on top of a carjack). Emails to the community director were ignored, calls to the management company were forwarded and dropped, and an in-person visit to the leasing desk was met with indifference. The employees were not even aware the gate was broken (had been for days), and when I asked if there was a way to suggest improvements their reply was "you just did." Obviously didn't get any follow up, and up until our lease ended, nothing had changed. One team I do give major props to is Maintenance. They were quick and helpful the couple of times we had issues in our unit (broken water heater, ants, AC leaks, and faulty wiring in the bathroom fixture). In the end, living here was not worth the thousands in car repairs and not worth the constant stress of when my car will be vandalized next."
"As a long-term residence, I absolutely love this complex. The maintenance staff is outstanding, and the newest member of the Leasing staff is a breath of fresh air, she is our new assistant manager and is outstanding. All five members of the team here work hard to make you feel welcome and part of family, they will make sure they go above and beyond what needs to be done to make you feel at home. They are truly an asset to CWS. It is one of the many reasons, I have stayed here so long. This property is definitely five stars in my book and I will not be moving anytime soon."
