"Update: This is my updated review for living in Museo Apartments after moving to Austin from Denver. I have been living in the Apartment now for 2 years. I hope this helps! This Complex makes your feel like you are in the woods. Its quiet most days, and the Greenbelt woods just out back of the complex makes you feel truly in nature. The Complex is very dog friendly! They have a small but nice dog park right in the middle so all the furry friends can see each other even when just out of a walk and they have added Turf since moving in. Good Improvement! The Location of the apartment is wonderful, 10 min from Domain, 20 min from Downtown (30 min w/traffic), 25 min to the Lake! Trash Vallet, gardening services, and landscape maintenance is very well managed. They always come on time, same time each week and during the spring all the flowers and trees were planted and cut back. Management: FEEs FEEs FEEs!!! READ YOUR LEASE!!! DO NOT do the $350 Edge Fee as the option for your deposit!!! You are just handing them free money. It does not cover any costs and fees on move out or damage. They will still charge you for everything on move out with NO COVERAGE! Please choose the $600 Security Deposit! We learned the hard way. The person who communicated with us on move it did not explain this correctly, they have since left and the Management team will not hold accountability for their pervious staff communication. Update: The Management is much better! Libby is now the new person we speak to each time we are need of services and she is helpful and kind. The office accepts packages now so that is very helpful with the Post Office being as bad as it is. They will send emails for updates, events and parties! The only other downer is their voicemail, I have left multiple messages in the standard voicemail box for them to call back, which the recording says 24hrs and it has been a week and a half since I left 2 messages with no response. Mail: *URGENT* PLEASE BE AWARE OF HOW TERRIBLE THE POST OFFICE THAT THIS COMPLEX USES! Previous: I have never had a worse apartment mail system that I have had to deal with. Since we have moved in, we have had 2 mailbox break-ins. Where the robber ripped the door off the boxes and stole all the mail and I have now had to file for certain Identity theft issues due to it. They didn't add cameras, they didn't add new security on the door, they didn't even change the door code to get in the mail room... Update: The USPS mail services have been better as well, not perfect but better. There have not been any break-ins since my last report over a year ago. There are still no camera and the door code is still the exact same. The biggest up side is that the office will take USPS packages now because the Post Office Currier refuses to deliver to the door. Communication: Previous: YOU WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED BY MUSEO for anything other than standard emails. Update: The communication has gotten better with more emails regarding updates or community issues, however they will send the communication but if something changes and they need to change the date or something, don't normally get an update for that. Unfortunately one of the main big issues at the moment is estate cleanliness and estate monitoring. There is a trailer in the back of the lot that has not moved since I have moved in, over 2 years. In my lease agreement it says we can't store anything on site, but it is not monitored. The other part, cleanliness, is there are bugs and spiders EVERYWHERE! Nothing and I mean nothing is ever cleaned outside in the estate to make it feel clean or updated. Photos below show the mess and it doesn't change. Best of luck on your apartment search!"

"I have lived here about 9-10 months now. I go back & forth with this place but at this point I no longer feel safe to freely be me or comfortable here, in my own home. The staff: Is pretty friendly actually, I have to admit this is I greatly appreciate, but friendly does not take away additional expenses due to maintenance issues, or their responsibility to maintain the property, or the multiple additional bills you are required to pay for, even if you don’t use or want to use the service. AC broke in the middle of summer, it was 108 degrees outside & my utility bill was more than 3 times the usual, for 2 months, because of this. My expense. My main work is from home, & had multiple deadlines. I go walking at night & often find broken pipes shooting water & creating a flood like area. Residence pay for that wasted water. When the rain storms passed, that water was running. Residence expense. Many things in the community areas don't function property or at all. It would be nice if they'd update multiple small things, &/or actually fixed it when you asked them to. Roaches... OMG y'all, If you were to imagine a roach mosh pit in the hall outside your door... You can hear them(!) The big ones, So I have to rush in my door in efforts to keep them out. After 2 snuck in I finally added Diatomaceous Earth outside my door, & by the washer dryer vent, which the leaf blowers blew away the next day but I added it again, & haven't had an issues since. Oh but they're still out there. Also, what's up with paying leaf blower who blow litter around the yard instead of get it picked up? Anyways, I love the hiking trails, the deer, & nature. Another reason I'd stay. 9 months of peaceful respectful community. This was another reason I'd stay but, now, some tenants have acted aggressively towards me, leaving me feeling threatened in my own balcony & vehicle, on the property. I DON'T EVEN KNOW THESE PEOPLE, to be insulting me like this. They don't know me. I have twice wondered if I was about to get in a fight. All in less than 1 week, this month(!) Because, you know, how dare I wear a sport bra, or bathing suite to swim. Sucks... to even have to wonder, 'Will I be faced with harassment, when I go home today, if I get into comfortable attire?' Management could help by not threatening to fine me if I add a privacy curtain. Not to horrible of a request I think, if it means a tenant feeling safe & comfortable in their own home. But my concerns & requests are being ignored. Who cares, right... Well I do."

"My daughter and I have had a wonderful experience living at Museo Apartments the past three years. It is a nice community, conveniently located by everything we need and a short drive to many places we love to visit in Austin. The current office management staff and maintenance team are excellent and very pleasant to work with- responsive, professional, and care about their tenants needs. My daughter and I have loved Libby & Abby's office holiday treat giveaways, such as Halloween treats galore, Mother's Day flowers and cards & a summer snow cone truck! We feel safe in this community and our apartment home is beautifully updated and well maintained. The walking trails are lovely and we benefit a lot from having gyms, swimming pools & bbq's on site."

"This property is really really nice. The trails here are pretty and I like to walk them often. Larissa at the leasing office made my move in so easy. Whenever I have a work order its taken care of quickly and without issue. I hope to continue living here for a long time."

"I did a search of many apartment complexes before I chose Museo in January 2018. I am still here- its great to be 20 minutes from downtown Austin and 5-10 minutes from all the shopping you need. The complex itself is very nice with pools, all the trees, well kept, feels safe, with many places to walk my dog, including a private trail. I enjoy seeing our resident deer too!"
