Barton Hills Apartments

"Bigger burly guy in the management office is extremely rude and condescending. Went to pick up a package and had a very very strange interaction with him. Very uncomfy :/ Edit: I am super upset with the response below. I never touched a single package and I gave them my name, the name of the resident I was visiting, and unit number immediately upon arriving and asking for a package. The packages were only handled by management. This is not how you handle complaints."

"This is what I just posted on KXAN to let people know that Barton Hills Apartments are unsafe. The Barton Hills apartment complex by Zilker Park has a security problem and they refuse to take any precautionary measures to attempt to deter criminals and keep their residents safe. My 25 year old daughter has had someone climb onto her porch to steal furniture. Her car window has been smashed in and a purse that was on the floorboard and wallet was stolen. She has now been robbed twice. We have contacted the apartment management to let them know. They refused to take any safety precautions for their residents. They have done nothing. We have filed police reports. I fear for her safety at Barton Hills apartment complex, instead of hiring a security guard or at least installing cameras or how about they CLOSE THE GATE, they have done nothing. She and/or I will go on camera so that people know that the Austin area apartments near Zilker are unsafe."

"You won't find a better spot in the city than this apartment complex. A short walk to all the best parts of Austin (the Greenbelt, Barton Springs, Zilker), easy drive to all the bars and restaurants off South Lamar, and a 5 minute bike ride to Lady Bird Lake, Town Lake Trail, and downtown. I lived here for my first 3.5 years in Austin and can't imagine having been anywhere else. Plus, Marlowe, Chelsea, and everyone else on the team are amazing. Highly recommend."

"I loved my time living at Barton Hills - the location is amazing (very dog friendly!) and my unit was super comfortable, with updated finishes and brand new carpet when I moved in. The staff is top notch! They are kind, responsive, and helpful. I never would have left if not for changing life circumstances. I recommend this community to anyone who asks."

"We lived here for 2 years and it was amazing! Great location, beautiful greenbelt patio views, absolutely fantastic staff. Marlow was great, he's one of the most attentive and committed apartment managers I've ever had. He always knew our names and was quick to help if we ever had an apartment issue. The complex is a little older but they keep things up very nicely, all new appliances when we moved it and great maintenance crew. Also, the proximity to Barton Springs pool and other green belt access points is amazing! We'll definitely miss living there and would recommend it for anybody!"
