Windwood Apartments

"Great location. Unfortunately, there is no security and no maintenance. In the 6 mos I've been here, my car battery has been stolen twice and last week all 4 tires and rims were stolen. If they would simply act responsibly, and do something about security, I would probably rate higher, and but it really seems like nobody cared."

"This apartment is ridiculously outdated and honestly unsafe. The management is terrible… they were extremely rude all the time and never fixed of the serious problems multiple residents had… including mold, dangerous walkways, bathrooms leaking, toilets and showers not working properly or peeling up etc. the windows are paper thin and the entire walkways flood anytime it rains. The grass and trees are always overgrown into the already extremely dark and uneven/ dangerous walkways. The walls and ceilings are paper thin… you can hear every single thing from the other apartments. Mosquitos and animals nesting in the bushes all around porches and walkways. The pool is gross and there isn’t even one chair or table to sit at. The mailroom always gets broken into and mail stolen washing machines broken etc …... I would absolutely look for a different place to rent… there is a reason it’s semi affordable for the area."

"I have lived at Windwood for 2 years and lived at a sister property (Chaparral) for 1 year before that and I have the same things to say about both experiences...These are some great hidden little apartments! The square footage is a little more than you get with newer units and the price is much less than what a 1 or 2 bedroom goes for in south/west/central Austin these days. Both apartments were in great condition when I moved in and the facilities (pool, lawn etc.) are really well maintained. Every call I ever made to maintenance or the office was responded to and resolved really quick and they are always really nice. Neighbors are great, no issues at all - I recommend these apartments to any one I know that is looking they are really a great find!"

"Best place to live by far. This is such a quiet place to live. If you want to be close to nature but not far from the city, this is the place for you! They are always doing upgrades around the property and keep it looking really nice. Management and maintenance are very friendly and know what they're doing. It was a nice positive change for me!"

"Quiet place to live away from things. I enjoyed being close to everything but always felt secluded beyond the trees. This is a great place to live if you want to live by the city, but not hear the noise!"
